VPA Committee presents: Worst Statted Dog Competition

The VP Activities Committee is a partnership formed between Frostbight, Nacie, Nutty, Para, Tiger and Alabama and is proud to host its first competition. In honor of Goof Off Day on March 22, the VP Activities Committee will host a month long competition to see who has the best dog at goofing off.<br><br>The point of the competition is to end with the dog that finishes the worst in a series of events.<br><br>Each entrant is allowed 2 dogs. <br>You can enter any 2 dogs you wish, <span style="font-weight:bold"><span style="color:#BF4040">BUT you cannot have bred them</span></span>. You must get the dogs from other players or import them.<br><br>Dogs must be entered in events titled "VPAC Worst statted Comp" hosted by members of the Committee.<br>Events schedule is as follows:<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Round 1 (Feb 28 - March 9)</span><br>Mushing<br>Herding<br>Dock Jumping (Flyball removed, team sport)<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Round 2 (March 9 - 19)</span><br>Conformation<br>Agility<br>Cattle Herding<br><br><span style="font-weight:bold">Round 3 (March 19 - March 29)</span><br>Assistance<br>Obedience<br>Weight Pulling<br><br>Each dog that enters ALL of the events will receive $500K in play cash at the end of the competition.<br><br>Winners will receive the choice of the following:<br>Best Goof Off dog - A goodie dye or 3 months upgrade (without imports)<br>Second Best - 16 imports or a 1 month upgrade<br>Third Best - $5 Million in playcash<br><br>We'll be accepting entrants starting February 20.

Just thought of something and wanted to run it by everyone before you run your events for this comp. Some of our events have more than twenty entries and since we are giving points on the lowest scored dog, you might want to do a screen print of the results before moving on to another event/screen. Normally competitions look for the #1, 2 or 3 places and those are always there but I think the #21 - 30 will not show once you leave the results screen.<br><br>Edit - for mine, I just copied and pasted into a Word doc to save.<br><br>Question: When we give all dogs entered 1 point - does that mean also give the last three placing dogs the point also? Meaning the last place dog will get 5 points but do we give the 1 point for entering too?

Good point about the events page, Nacie.<br><br>I don't think the "losing" dogs need the point for entering. Even third to last gets 2 points.

ok perfect! I have ran all of my events, saved their scores but not finished adding points. I have also ran my new events.

There's 2 sets of dogs that haven't shown up, not sure if they weren't entered or just placed lower than 20th. I placed an x by them so far because I wasn't sure how to go about them. I believe one set is a decoy pair so if they entered I'd say they placed super low. (should I go to those dogs and check their event records and re-score events if they did indeed place lower?<br><br><br>Like Nacie I copied the events into a word doc and have it saved there with a running list of each dog's points. <br><br>Yes, just to be sure they weren't missed. I'm only seeing 2 of your events that had more than 20 entries. When you first run events, it will show you all of the placings. Once you move off that page, you have to check the dogs to see where they placed. This first page is the one Nacie is suggesting gets screen shotted so your partner can double check your numbers.
