ABKC/UKC 'PR' Dixie Tequila on Ice *Updated: 27 July 2014*

My boyfriend lost his chihuahua mix a few months ago and wanted a new puppy, so his cousin who breeds American Bullies is giving him a puppy. She is a blue fawn with a white chest. We get to pick her up Friday. Jacob (my boyfriend) is very excited to make her a part of our family. Our daughter saw the pictures of her and fell in love. She carried my phone around with Dixie's picture pulled up and said "puppy", "Dixie", and "doggy". Jacob's cousin (the person we are getting Dixie from) was very busy this weekend, so we will be getting her today. I am so excited to meet her and take some pictures for everyone.

I am just now being able to post the pictures. We had to do A LOT of work on Dixie; we will NOT be getting another puppy from his cousin. She was covered in fleas, severely anemic, full of worms (after he claimed to have wormed her three times), malnourished, lethargic, and just plain uncared for. Report him to a rescue group of bullie breeds? he shouldn't be breeding dogs if you got a pup like that.

<br>The thing is, his other dogs are treated like kings and queens. They are all show dogs and have to be well managed, so he will say we have no proof. Also the bully groups around here are more focused around fighting dogs instead of abused show dogs. I reported another breeder of UKC show dogs because they were kept in little cages that were never cleaned and were fed once a day with the amount of food we feed our Yorkie; they are XL and XXL American Bullies, so they weigh over 100 lbs. They were also covered in fleas and the rescue groups all said that they would tell them to take them to the vet, well long story short, they washed the dogs off and took them to the vet that said they were fine, so the bully group was not concerned. <br><br>

<br>She comes over every day, so I will have more pictures for sure. She should be over soon and I will be able to take more for today.<br><br>

<br>I know what you mean. He has had other litters before and they were VERY well taken care of, but this was an "accidental" litter and she was the only one who survived. Her mom is only maybe 10 months old and was NOT ready to be a mom. She laid on three of the pups and one got stuck inside her and they did not take her to the vet and let her be in pain until they decided it "was time" to help her out. They unstuck the puppy themselves and it and all of the ones behind him/her were dead as well because they left her that way too long. This is the first litter that they had that was not bought by well-known eventers and kennels in our state as well, so I think that had something to do with it as well; if a well known person/kennel saw her that way they would not have bought from him again. He figured that Jacob and I would "not care" as long as we had a puppy, but that is not the fact. I told him he better be glad that he gave her to us for free because we had to put A LOT of money into her just to fix the things that SHOULD NOT have been that way to begin with.

She is a pretty pup. If the breeder is registered with a kennel organization, report him to them. Even if nothing happens, the report would be on file.

We have a show coming up soon, and even if we do not get to compete, we still want her to be looking her best. I also like to practice stacking at a young age to get them used to it. I find it harder to teach an older dog to stack when it has very little to no practicing with footwork and such.

<br><br>Well then I have a present for you; updated pictures!! She is only 4 months old and she is HUGE! I will weigh her as soon as I see her again (my boyfriend got a job where he literally works 24/7 (he is on call even when he gets off, so if he gets a call he has to leave). Hopefully I will see her this before this weekend. I would estimate that she weighs about the same as my 31.0 lbs daughter, but she actually might weigh more. I have now made a pedigree that has three generations of dogs that went in to produce Dixie that includes their names (I still do not have a picture of her mom *smacks face*; I saw her a few weeks ago and forgot to take a picture....), so if you would like to see those details feel free to click <a href="http://fav.me/d7opvck"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">here</a>.<br><br>Dixie is growing like a weed. We weighed her during our trip to Petsmart and she weighed in at a whopping 55 lbs at 5 months old. Her head also beginning to pop and as she is developing into a normal Remyline (Razorsedge) American Bully. <a href="http://fav.me/d7ql1c0"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">Here</a> is a picture of her head compared to my old, cracked, and dead Samsung Galaxy S3.
