It uses a photo from the public domain that was taken in the early 1900s when the animal was still alive before it went extinct in the 1930s. The background was painted by me in Photoshop. I colored in a black and white drawing from a scan of an ancient Japanese scroll that was made even before the 1900s and is in the public domain. I made the background myself in either Photoshop or GIMP.
