WOW! There's so much to do and so much to figre out. You have $50,000. It seems like so much, and to some it might be, but to others...it's really nothing. So you go out and buy the first dog you see and you get started from there, nearly everyone does.
Now you've been playing a while. Your buying, selling, and breeding. Yet, your still at about $70,000. You've got a few fully trained decent dogs that are just chillin out in your kennel. What to do with them?
~*~: Enter Events! You never know, you could have a champion on your hands!
~*~: Get another dog with nice stats and that is fully trained (there's plenty of cheap ones floating around VP believe it or not.) And BREED. BUT don't keep all the pups, keep the 2 or 3 with the highest stats. You can either sell or release the other pups.
~*~: JOIN THE FORUMS! (well you obviously have since your reading this, but tell your friends!) There is so much on the Forums! You can sell those unwanted pups! You can buy nice gifties, buy graphics, get advice, buy fully trained/stat maxed dogs at decent prices! Your business is nearly sure to take off if you get to be known around the Forums.
~*~: Learn to make graphics! This includes banners, siggys, layouts, personal pics, giftie pics, WHATEVER! You can sell them or auction them or if your feeling generous, give them away. It's a great way to get easy money and get known.
~*~: Make some generous buddies. If your in debt, they will gladly lend or give you a few thousand.
DONT:
-Buy a ton of gifties, no one wants them if they arent rare.
-Buy a random dog, popular dog, (look for rare ones that not may people have)
-Walk into the forums and try selling that unwanted pup for 100,000 it just doesn't work
-Walk into the forums and try to sell graphics right away, (put examples in Artist Alley first.)

Honestly...
I think making graphics and entering events has got to be the easiest way to make money for a novice.

I started as a novice just like anyone else. After a while I hadmake 17million on my eventers and graphics. Then I was granted by a generous player a sponser training kennel. I make about 5million in just a few weeks. When I had a contest for a banner, I went a little over board on the prize money and ended up back down to about 5 million. I made the decision to sell my sponsor and got about 72million (I think) for the kennel. Now back to a novice I still show A TON! And I make a nice about of moolah.

I've Got 1million!
Okay nice work! Now, let's see here. DO NOT GO BUYING STUFF! Wait. Get a little more. Now, if anything, buy another nice show dog maybe one that has an already good show history. And event that dog. Working out? GREAT! Keep it. Is the dog not doing as well as you thought? SELL IT!
Continue to build off of that 1million BUT...
~*~: Tell yourself...Don't get belows $________...In other words, set goal fr yourself. • Thanks. I think These are some GREAT tips your giving to novices(I'm a novice, use to be a Sponcer though.)
I sold me account and god 36 mill for it. I went on a shopping spree and ended up with only 10 milly.
I was really bummed when I had so little. So I started getting really into showing.
Now I show for other people. I have shown to every level for people so far.
EXCEPT International so I'm working on getting my dogs to that level. One of my dogs has made 600k(I only spent 300k on her)so far and she's only regional.

Now that I got a couple great show dogs i'm not up to 31 mill(:

 • i buy, neuter, and release pup and i've made some money off of it. you have to buy the right pups though. young enough to be release and they should cost less then 500. I buys rescues or unwanted dogs cheap(less than 450), neuter them and release them if you buy a rescue and neuter you just made $250 do that four times and you have 1k :D its little time consuming though
 • just a clue for buying and releasing: puppies under 4 months can be released as young dogs, any older and you can't release them. can anyone tell me the minimum age for retiring old dogs?
Actually any dog can be released if it is 5 months and 0 Weeks or younger. As for retiring, once a dog goes over 1 year, 0 months, and 0 weeks (Ex: 1 year, 0 months, 1 week) it can be retired.
More than likely, people will want to buy them in groups of 180. You will apply the fame points for their dog in your kennel when they tell you which stat to raise.

 • Ohhhh right (: lol thanks a lot!! Now maybe I can sell them (: But you need 180 famepoints per stat right?? K thanks again how much should I sell them for any ideas?? thanks for the tips again (:

 • Tip- Buy intact puppies under 6 mos. and under $500. Neuter then release.

Warning- Make sure the puppy is UNDER 6 mos. I've already accidentally bought a 9 mos. old and a 6 mos. old (anyone wanting a free female 6 mos. border collie?)
 • This might be kind of late, but don't fill your kennel with 20 random dogs right away. It becomes confusing (and costly) when training, eventing, grooming or playing. It costs a lot to take turns with a full house, especially if you are just starting out with little money.

 • Tip: you can buy a giftie or a rare dog fora small price and then hold an action for it to get your money back and someone gets a dog they could actually use.
