I'm not sure what you mean by "writing style" but I am reading "Flipped" and I like how it is written alot. I also like books that are written in first person or written like a journal (Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Percy Jackson are my faves lol I love Greg Heffley and Percy )

The Battlefield series is definitely for the more mature player. CoD is too "arcade". Good for a 30 min thrash. But Battlefield keeps you engrossed for hours...
