Not sure what's happening with Layouts that people have ordered from Canis and I. I haven't heard from Canis in about a week so I might have to do those layouts myself. We shall see.

Its the cures of the Paranormal wolf. Seems like I'm a "thread killer" here and on other non VP forums. I have a way of bringing things to an end. I'll comment and then poof no more replies  LOL I'm sure Canis is caught up with some real life stuff though.

Thanks! I thought it would be a nice little thread to keep the VP community talking. Plus its nice to know who's active.

You do sound super busy both on and off VP.

I've got some VP projects I need to focus on but am overwhelmed with some real life things at the moment.
Well I've been away for a little bit (I think it feels longer than it's actually been) so ha anyone been up to anything different?

I need to sit down and focus on the many projects I have started. Also think I'm going to re-organize my kennels a bit.
Well,I'm in the process of going through my kennel and neutering and releasing all the low stated(less than 7x4 unless they are offspring of my imports) offspring my dogs have produced.
Also, I am making a list of Halloween and Fantasy breeds and their stats for Nacie.

I have started a line of German Shorthaired Pointers. I am going to try to create the perfect hunting (or dock jumping) lines. It will be dedicated to my very own GSHP, Daisy Mae.

Thought I would resurrect this thread sense most of the major holidays have past (excluding Valentines day and other upcoming ones). Anyone have anything new going on?

I'm still doing a lot of the same, been working on lines. I've completed a few and am still working toward my future eventers. Have made a few changes to my line up of breeds. Am working in some breeds that I want to use not only to event but to dye as part of a gify set.

So anyone have any new projects?

I've kinda abandoned the actual playing side of the game and keep toying with the idea of getting rid of lines. But other than PBs I don't think I've any lines that are all that wanted lol.

My projects are outside of VP and couple are quite exciting hahaa
Still working on the first 10x4 Tosas. Finally got my line past 90 in hyper.. so hopefully im almost there. xD After I get my 10x4s I'll be dyeing 2 to represent some very special RL dogs and using the others to create possibly some of the best weight pullers VP has ever seen!! :P
Just a little post about my latest goings on. I've been working with Boston terriers, hoping to get some great stats that will make them quality showmanship and obedience competitors. Of course the event ring will be the determination in that respect. Also I've rounded up and bred most of my future eventers to take over once my current dogs are finished with their careers. I've still got some breeds on work on but I'll get there eventually. Hoping to set a kind of base for my eventers and breeds that I can build off of and improve with each new generation.
I've put some of my side projects on hold so I can focus on just a couple things for now. I seem to have gotten stuck with my Brown Hyenas. I can get them up to 9x4s with hyper over 99, but then hyper and friendly start fluctuating and I just can't seem to break 10x4s so I'm taking a little break. I'm back on my APBTs, working on strength. This current generation has strengths at 140.5 and 140.6, I'm hoping to break 141 in the next few generations. I'm also breeding Black Russian Terriers to get the first 10x4s on VP. I've got them up to 9x4s with hyper averaging at 98. Once I get them to 10x4s I think I might work on breeding up intelligence and making them into working dogs. Also, three of my flyball dogs retired of old age :-( so I'm trying to find suitable replacements.
I hate when breeds get stuck and its usually that stubborn hyper stat T__T . You're doing great with the APBT's strength! I'm still eventing my old team with strength around 139.something. I've got some 140.somethings in waiting for the next generation but nothing as high as yours. Would love to see you break 141 with them!
That darn hyper  I could just focus on the hyper, but then the friendly falls way down to the low 90s and I end up going from 9x4s with hyper at 99.8 to 8x4s with friendly at 93 and hyper at 99.4 UGH so frustrating...

Thanks :-) My eventual goal is to get APBTs with strengths over 145, but the way things are going I'm not even sure it's possible. I'm wondering if dogs have to have 4 stars in the breed standard to get much further than 140 in a stat.
I hate the breeds that have 2 trouble stats. I've worked with some like that in the past where you have to watch 2 stats and make sure they both raise. It can be so frustrating at times

I've wondered that too about the strength or if the breed has to be a rather large breed. I've got some breeds I want to work on for strength in the future and see how far I can take them. I'm going to have to look at the breed standard before I start and see where the stars fall. Its a rather large breed too so that may play in my favor.
Frustrating is an understatement lol As it is I'm doing an inbred line and I had to start over when one of my males got over-trained... So I've basically done two lines and worked on this breed for about a year now and I would hate to get SO CLOSE and for it to just end

You might be right about the size of the breed being a factor. Because now that you mention it I'm pretty sure Great Danes have gotten strengths well over 140 and there's only 3 stars on that breed standard. Maybe it's about the breed type, or the group. Maybe mastiff type dogs automatically have a strength advantage, or maybe strength improves more easily in working dogs... Or maybe its random lol I guess I'll just have to see :-)
I've done that a few times where I'll have to breed up another line just to mix with the original. I usually do inbred lines as it just uses less resources and has thus worked out the best for me. With my Boston line(s) I did something a little different with them and it's seemed to work out thus far. I bread the line up to a certain point (mine were bred to 10x4's but you could breed up to whatever your highest hyper is) then I would keep some of the pups and kinda do what I call step back. I'd go back about 2 generations or so and breed back up to that point and keep the pups with the stats I wanted. Did that about 3-4 times and it gave me a wider base of dogs to choose from and pair up. Then I would pick the parents that could be bred together and start line breeding again for whatever stat I needed. Not sure if that makes sense or not lol. I think of it kinda like a tree with the original inbred line being the trunk then the step backs form other branch lines from the same trunk and then you can cross breed within the line as needed.

I'm not sure about the size being a factor or not but its something I've wondered about. I want to look into it more and see if it holds true or if it is just something random with strength.
That's not a bad idea! I'll probably breed out a couple "branches" from my best dogs from where I am now, when I go back to them.

I'd have to look through and check, but I think Dogos have broken 140 too. They're not especially large, nor are they mastiff type dogs like Great Danes. But they are working dogs. Maybe its a working breed thing...
Let me know if the branches work out for you. Here's hoping they do. And now I'm curious to see if its a working dog thing with the strength. It would be interesting to find out
I'm just trying to get my name out there. I'm a Chihuahua breeder and Event a lot. I've had a hard time getting started but there have been a few people who have really helped boost me in VP. Should be able to get a sponsor account soon. Not sure which is the best to get, I was a trainer before and realized that wasn't my thing. I'm trying to make more time for VP, at first it was school. Now work.. But I love VP and will be a member for many years to come hopefully.
Glad to see you around RandaLuna, hope you do well with your Chihuahuas. We need more active eventers for sure. A sponsor training kennel comes in handy but then again so does a breeding kennel if your working on lines or just trying to better the breed. Its always a tough call for what specialty to choose. Hope to see you around in game and on here!
I know what you mean I've got lines that are either started and need finishing or that I need to start and finish. I use to be pretty fast about getting them done but now they seem to sit and take forever X__x
My issue with lines is a mix of taking too long in general and adding on top of that really slow net which makes training drag by
