LOVE love love it!! Good choice, hearts are over done. :P I have a tattoo that needs to be covered in the same area. It's a symbol that means sin. I was going through a phase and I felt so stupid for getting the ink once that phase was over. xD I was thinking about covering it up with mini paw prints that go all the way up my inner arm, but a few days ago I found this, and thought it would be amazing to have the print be my dog's portrait too: <img src="http://i57.tinypic.com/25gbif6.jpg"; alt="http://i57.tinypic.com/25gbif6.jpg"; class="bb-image" /> I'm still debating.

Aww so sweet! Hi, my name is Bryson. And I'm also a tat addict

I have 9 so far but none animal-related. Well, that's not true...my very first tattoo is a Pegasus...but none pet-related. I've just had too many pets over the years and I would feel bad if I played favorites. I have been trying to work out how to represent all of my loves in one tattoo something along the lines of <a href="http://dianhasan.files.wordpress.com/2011/05/logo_us-humane-society_us-5.gif?w=590&h=353"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">this idea</a>, but maybe in a heart shape or paw prints...

Thanks guys! Glad to see that I'm not alone in this tattoo addiction lol Love that Zyn!! That would be cute! When I was 18 I got a heart with my nickname on my wrist and needed it covered up now tha it's been three years of looking at that darn thing I finally got it covered! You can still see the scarring of the heart under the big paw print though. Bryson, I feel ya! I have five, six if you want to count the one I covered up as one lol I think your idea is great as well! I have four more paw prints to get and I've decided they are going across my foot. My chihuahua and pit are the two females so they are on my wrist and the four males will be there on my foot. Pit bull Faythe, Akita/lab Zane, chihuahua Heaven, hound Jake, wolf/chow Homie, cat Harley. They are the main dogs in my life lol I have my grandfathers name and a horse combo on my arm. A cupcake on my back. A messed up start with a ribbon on my side (Getting it covered up). My sons name with wings and a halo due to him passing away on my chest above my heart. And I already have more in mind lol my next one is going to be for my older sister that passed away.

I'll be getting two tattoos this summer! One will be on my back in my shoulder area and it will say "lights will guide you home and ignite your bones" in some sort of script font. It's lyrics from a song by Coldplay called 'Fix You' and it's a song that really hits home with me

And my other one will be a small, thin cross on my ankle.

I've only had my terrible tattoo for a few months now, there's no way in hell i'm gonna stare at it for years!

I plan on getting my cover up this month. & You can only see the scarring if you're looking for it, not noticeable really. :] I'm sorry that some of the stories behind your tats are sad.. they give it so much more meaning. @Coaster - I love that song! Great lyric choice. I wanted to get a drawing of where i'm from tatted across my ribs with the words "I dream of paradise" in script. (i'm from Hawaii and i seriously long to go back). I'm sure you can guess what song gave me my inspiration. xD

That's awesome coast! I've never thought of something like that! Zyn, I'm glad it's not to noticeable!! I wanna go to Hawaii so bad one day lol and my dr said he thinks the tattoo for my son is a good idea cause it forces me to deal with it and accept it every day instead of hide from it behind depression or something like that lol

You should definitely go, Hawaii is generally accepted as the definition of paradise. xD I think the doctor's right. That makes perfect sense; acceptance is a huge part of healing. I'm severely depressed whenever I lose an animal, I can't even imagine what you felt at the loss of a child. When my Bully died I was broken for a long time, I wanted to get a tattoo in memory of him but nothing seemed to be good enough. Something simple like what you did with wings and a halo is a perfect way to honor and remember someone.

It was extremely hard. When I was in the hospital after everything I texted vampy to let her know what had happened and she helped a lot! My bf stayed with me there for three days until I could come home. I couldn't wen open the window without crying at the sight of the trees. It's way easier to accept now though and I know he's perfectly safe and happy where he is now which deft helps!

I'm sorry. Praise for Vampy though, it takes a special kind of person to be able to help in a situation like that. Of course he's in a happy place, one much better than where we are. Babies go straight to the arms of God when they pass, I believe you'll see him again.

And it's obvious you're doing so much better, you can even talk about what happened, that must've been an incredible progression.

Definitely. I do still tear up every time I think about it though. Like at Taco Bell a few nights ago I started tearing up and my friends bf got all upset seeing it and had toto get tissue for both of us lmbo. It's better now so.. Anyways lol

xD Meeko where you have "Breathe" and "Smile", I have "Love" and "Life" I plan on getting more, I don't really want anything tied to an animal, I like quotes and lyrics more. I do want to get something Australian though, southern cross probably. Another tat idea is a ram head for my star sign.

Meeko I think the paw in the heart is so cute :-) My tats are all kinda random, not related to each other at all, just like mile markers for significant points in my life. My favorites are the two on my feet, and the one on my hand. I have a rosary around my left ankle with my initials like a clasp, and I have a daisy on the second toe of my right foot. That one is special to me because its from a song we sang at girl scout camp where I went every summer, and was the highlight of my childhood. And my husband and I have the same middle name, just spelled differently (his is the masculine spelling, mine the feminine). So I got his middle name tattooed on my ring finger and he got mine on his :-)

I love that! The one I have for my grandpa is a horse with some other stuff (don't wanna give away it's design) but since I was five, he had me on horses. He had a national barrel champion he called Popcorn and he always told me that we would get to do rodeos and barrels. I loved horses and couldn't get enough. Then my grandpa had a stroke and became paralyzed on his left side and lost his speech. After tha, my passion for horses went away. I tried to keep going with it, but I just couldn't after that. A few years later he had a second stroke and almost died. I knew right hen that I wanted something to show him how much he meant to me. I drew up the idea and had to wait until I had the money and then got it. When I showed him he started tearing up. Hes able to stand now at times. He's still in a wheelchair with limited movements. He can talk again, but it's hard sometimes for him. He's my dad's step dad, but to me he has always been and will always be my grandpa. I'm sorry you lost your grandma. I know how devastated is be over losing my grandpa!
