Pit Pup w/ Blue Eyes

I recently adopted my 2nd Pitbull pup. She came from a local breeder who has been raising and training Pits for the last 16 years. We have adopted other pits from her when I was growing up and my puppy is the first one that I've gotten since moving from my parents 4 years ago. Anyway, she has one blue eye and one brown eye. The dogs have not been exposed to any other dogs, so Im not sure how this could happen. This is the mothers' first litter (she is 3 and the father is 3.5 years old), she only had 3 pups in the litter. 2 of which ended up with blue eyes. One male had all blue eyes, while my female has one blue eye and one brown eye and then there is another male who has all brown eyes. Both parents do not have blue eyes or any in their lines. These are also the first pups from this breeder that have blue eyes. Adopted him at 3.5 weeks when some BYB was selling them out of his truck at the local Taco Bell. He's the one that was attacked by someone's dog on a daily walk.

Blue eyes are pretty common in APBTs with white heads. Not as common with fully colored faces. Adorable puppies!

So blue eyes are in the genetic makeup of Pits? I didnt know this!

Yes, I believe it's either a serious fault or DQ in UKC but is acceptable in ADBA. Either way, it's not something that should be bred for but that isn't the case here. Edit: Just checked and it is a serious fault in UKC.

Temperament should be the first priority but yes it is not uncommon for pit bulls to have blue eyes. But she is beautiful none the less..

Umm the litter my APBT came from all pups where blue eyes, than once they hit about 12 weeks they changed to yellow green, now my guys is more a nice goldenish colour, so they may mostly change. I would post pics but kinda too lazy to upload right now. Pretty colour though.

Such a cutie! my APBT is white with blue/grey. Her eyes were blue when we got her but are now a greenish/yellow color O.o

I've a few more weeks to wait then lol but these aren't puppy blue eyes from when they're first born. They have ice blue eyes almost that of a husky. Unfortunately, spanky passed away last week due to a bad allergic reaction to some antibiotics given to him from an idiotic vet. Lux is also sick at the moment but that is due to poor breeding and a calcium deficiency which is causing her to have seizures. She is doing better though thank goodness and hasn't had a seizure since 6pm last night. Will update pics soon.
