Prom!

This is my senior year and my boyfriend and I decided to g to prom! We don't have prom here, we have formals that occur at the end of primary school, 'junior' high school and senior year when you leave. Hated my makeup, dress was alright, loved my hair, LOVED the car :P (Can you tell my boyfriend and I had been dating for exactly 3days?) aaand 2yrs later; <img src="http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/ss170/clozobozo/DSC_0687-1.jpg"; alt="http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/ss170/clozobozo/DSC_0687-1.jpg"; class="bb-image" /> Senior highschool! LOVED my makeup, dress was decent, LOVED my hair, had no car

(Yupp, we're still that awkward 2yrs later haha) I wish I had gotten better dresses but I always left it too late $:\$ Celia your dress is amazing! We don't have anything like that in our formal shops

Thanks Clo... I was always the emo kind of kid who liked stuff like that. It really hurt to wear that though, since my cousin tied it rather tight... and I know what its like for the awkwardness... me and my fiance are still that awkward lol love your second dress

I would love to get a bodice or corset but I have a really wide ribcage so finding one that sits right and comfortably is like, impossible

My school was stupidly strict on everything $:\$ I only got away with having that bright red hair(that isn't even 'unnatural' in my opinion) in my senior year because we were like a week off leaving school forever.

Wow your school was WAY strict, our prom was after our last day, so I don't think they could really say anything, but in my final year I had purple hair

and people had loads of piercings at my school. They didn't really care too much as long as you didn't over do it, or not wear the uniform (we have to wear school uniform in Britain, but finish at 16) lol

Naww people have nice dresses

We didn't really have "proms" back in my day >.> But think it is more a big thing now in school. We just called it Leavers' Ball lol. I went to an all girls boarding school, so didn't get the fun of knowing boys really at 16 >.> So I had my picture taken with my friend, who also was a boarder so didn't have a guy. My dress is boring in comparison to everyone elses

I was a chubster back then

But even then the straps were too long so they kept falling down >.< Thankfully the top being boned so was well fitted XD (mum made this outfit too). Meow. Clozo, I love that car. What a sweet ride </3 My prom was a disaster -- there was a ton of drama. I was supposed to go with a close friend from grade-school. He had a girlfriend at the time and at first, she was completely cool with me going with him. About a week before prom, while we were finalizing rides & pictures and stuff, she decides to throw a complete fit about it. So... I was date-less the week before my senior prom. Luckily, we hadn't picked up a dress or tux or anything yet. Another one of my friends decided to come to my rescue though and hooked me up with her dates cousin. Super nice guy. Had a good night, even if prom itself wasnt too exciting. <img src="http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c99/PoseidonsMinion/prom_zps38f66c85.png"; alt="http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c99/PoseidonsMinion/prom_zps38f66c85.png"; class="bb-image" /> I'm in love with my dress too. Too bad I don't think I'll have another occasion to wear such a formal dress.

It was a private Catholic school and yeah, uber strict. Our uniform was pretty ugly but we appreciated it as we got older because it looked nice and smart compared to a lot of other schools.

Schools in other contries seem to havea lot of restrictions when it comes to dress etc, my high school was pretty layed back we could wear what ever we wanted (dress code was apparently no shorts or skirts above thigh length for girls and no low pants for boys and no bandanas but was mostly over looked) everyone at my school wore they wanted and alot had tattoos and peircings ,only head boy and girl had uniforms .Im pretty sure the school ball(prom) was lax on the rules as well, though i think it might just be only a few schools in NZ since i knew others which had strict dress codes.
