He looks so great! Btw your signature banner is really pretty! :P
Thanks! Only a few more week until I start working him under saddle daily!
Tomorrow I'll probably take some pictures of him without his blanket to compare with the pictures from last year.
New videos and picture this weekend!
I'm trying to get a video of some of the natural horsemanship that I do but it's hard to do it without getting my face in the shots >.<

Anyone interested in seeing a join-up method video? Or a "play/train" video?
Put the saddle on Romeo and let him trot around in it today! He did have a minor heart attack when he realized that this odd thing on his back doesn't budge when he pokes at it with nose, but other than that he did wonderfully!
I haven't sat on him outside in a saddle yet, only bareback. At least he was accepting of it and didn't go into a complete fit haha

I'll also be helping my trainer break two other horses: Amira, an egyptian arabian, and Mister, an AQH. So expect to see some progress with them as well in the near future!
I got on Romeo for the first time outside today! My trainer just led me around a little bit and we did some bending work. Overall, he did AMAZING! I'm really confident that I can start him undersaddle fully now

Be prepared for some major photo posts soon!
On Saturday I will post the pictures of him in full tack He looks pretty snazzy if you ask me ^.^ I'll also see if I can get someone to take pictures on me on him in full tack as well
Last night I got on Romeo in the bitless bridle and let him walk on the rail a little bit with my trainer kind of leading him (I say 'kind of' because she walked close to us so he would follow her or at least go in the right direction).
He did really well aside from just seeming utterly confused as to why he had to stay on path and why I was on his back for more than 5 minutes xD
He's having some MAJOR issues figuring out how to balance my weight on him which I don't really find surprising since he's nearly 10 and has never had anyone on his back before.
I'm so proud of him! As soon as this rain quits I'll try to get a good video!
The past few months have been an extreme roller coaster.

Shortly after I had started with Romeo outside, I noticed he was walking kind of funny again. The vet came out, assessed him, and told us that it wasn't EPM, which is both good news and bad news. Good because he doesn't have it - bad because we don't really know what it is. He's been placed on some new medication which actually seems to be working!

I've also started college which means that I'm living on campus and I can't work with him right now. I found a really nice family that is basically taking care of him until summer. It broke my heart when I had to leave him. It felt like I was giving him away even though I know that it's only for a little while.

So as of right now, Romeo cannot be ridden due to the medical issues he's having. Once they pinpoint where the problem is coming from, then we will know more about if he can be ridden and all that shenanigans.
