Tea Drinkers

So lately I've been drinking Tea a lot. I used to be a Coffee-aholic. But since the beginning of Feb, I've given that up. No starbucks or anything. I'm pretty proud.
So I've been drinking a lot of tea. Come to find out, all that caffeine isn't good for me. According to my doctor. So I switched to Decaf Tea.
I love it. But I have a question, is it still bad? I know I should ask my doctor, but I just want opinions... I don't know if anyone drinks tea on here (:

I drink it cold, hot... I don't use sugar. I use a all natural sweetener (Forgot the name).
Sometimes I'll use honey. Every now and then I'll use cinnamon because it's good for your blood and joints. (:

Any body have certain teas/flavors they like?
And mixes or special ideas I could try? (:

  • I drink a lot of tea and coffee. I'm not sure if the decaf is any better then regular or not honestly. Sorry.

I like a tea called Sleepytime for bedtime. Its relaxing for sure. The brand name is Celestial Seasonings and they have a lot of teas that are good for you.

Another place is Teavana its that place I pointed out to you on our shopping trip in December. They have one of the biggest loose leaf tea places I've seen. I love most of their stuff. And you can mix and match flavors together which is nice. Be careful cause you can easily spend a lot in that place.

Hope that gives you a couple new ideas of flavors and such you could drink. Let me know when you find something you love :)

  • I remember that place (: I'll have to ask my grandparents to get me something there!

Right now I'm drinking unsweetened Lipton Decaf tea with the natural sweetener. (: It's cold.
At night I drink the Lipton Decaf Pomegranate and Raspberry mix. I have seen that sleepy time though.
I'll have to try that! (: Thanks Triss
  • It's amazing. And they mainly use German Rock Sugar to sweeten but you can use other things too.

There's a lot of different favors other then the sleepy time. I believe there's a raspberry. There's a pepper mint that's amazing.

Ooh and constant comet is my all time favorite with some sugar

  • Constant comet? O_O I've heard of that! I'll have to look for it when I go to the store tomorrow.
German Rock Sugar? Never heard of it? What does it taste like?
  • Mhm I love that stuff. I could drink it all day every day.

You what rock candy on a stick looks like? It kinda looks like that. It tastes kinda like a mix of cane and brown sugar. It's supposed to be healthier for you I believe

  • I'm interested in trying that German Rock Sugar too (: I'm gonna see if my store has that lol
  • Find Teavana.
It's amazing.

My husband and I are trying to switch off soda, and tea is amazing for that. My favorites are the White Teas <3

Lipton is good, but if you're trying to be really healthy, stick to the teas you brew/sweeten yourself, that way you know exactly what/how much is being added to your tea, which you can't really know when you buy bottled. =3

  • I buy the brewing bags (: I don't really like the bottles of Lipton. It's too sweet for me. White Teas? I'm gonna look those up too!
I'm so glad I made this post lol (:
  • White teas are high in antioxidants and are caffeine free <3 Watch out for Black Teas, as they contain as much caffeine as coffee, and you said you're trying to go decaf xD
    2eldxsm.png
  • Will do. White tea is what I need then XD

White teas aren't caffeine free <a href="http://www.thefragrantleaf.com/caffeine-and-tea"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">see link for caffeine info ... They are yummy though, I normally keep Republic of Tea Asian Jasmine White Tea around. If you're looking for caffeine free, have you tried herbal teas? Rooibos, or red tea, is a favorite of mine, I keep a few Republic of Tea blends around. Also, rosemary makes a lovely tea if you like the taste - and it's good for you too. Mints, also, though straight mint teas can be awfully strong, but blended with other herbs and sweetened they're quite nice.

Edit: Forgot to mention Yogi Tea - some of them are caffeine free, some are low in caffeine, and the chai is to die for XD
    (SPIDERS!)
  • Teavana always said they were caffeine free. D8 Sorry 'bout that <3

  • I'm learning so much lol XD I'm writing all these down for when I go to the store. Gotta look them up. Do you know any good sweeteners?
  • I love love LOVE almost all of Celestial Seasonings teas! I'm really fond of the Peppermint one :)
I also found a light peach tea that was SOOO good but I don't remember the brand D:
Everything from Teavana is delicious but can be expensive in my opinion.

  • Just to throw it out there, if you enjoy keeping your money, go to Teavana, smell all the teas, get an idea for what you want then go to Adagio Tes's website {adagio.com}. and order it there.
My coffee replacement tea, Golden Monkey, is 18.50 for two ounces at Teavana. However, Adagio sells 3 ounces for 17.00. Also, even if you do buy from Teavana, get it in the little bags, because you can order 3 Adagio cans for the price of ONE Teavana can.
Also, Adagio provides most teas in pyramid style tea bags, so it is not issue if you have no maker. Though, if you dont you should consider getting one, they are expensive but the increased volume for the tea allows for greater extraction.

Happy Tea-ing!
Your lack of grammar is equal to my lack of respect...
  • I'm not a tea expert or anything, but I do love tea (and coffee and every other hot beverage). My favorite tea is Wild Raspberry Hibiscus herbal tea by Stash. It's caffine free and delicious, especially with honey!!! I've had some every night for the past few weeks
