Ponies -Question Added-

So, what do you think their wight limit is? They are about 10 hands, and Tug (the one in the pics) is super stalky. Almond is two inches taller than Tug, but still about 15-20 pounds lighter. We are doing a big fair and doing pony rides, so I need to know who can ride and who can't. Their feet are in great shape. The saddle is about 15 pounds with the pad. I will be rotating them about every 8 rides I think. My little step-sister loves to ride them, when she is here she rides them each twice a day for about 8 mins. How long could I let her ride? She likes to trot but I have been keeping the rides short. She is 65 pounds.

I have been gone from VP for a while, but I am back now. I wanted to post some pics of my new ponies, Tug and Almond. They are older ponies, late teens to early twenties- every time I ask someone its different. We got them so we could do birthday parties. Or, thats why my mom let me get them. She really dose not like the ponies, I think they scare her. I don't know why- they are super friendly and much more respectful of our personal space than any of our other animals. They are small shetlands, maybe mixed with mini.

The person we got them from also wanted to do birthday parties but she had over 20 other horses that were beating them up. Almond was super skinny, he was having heart problems and was at the vet for a little while. He is better now, the vet still does not know what made him so skinny as he was worm free, and Tug was fat. We just had to give him extra grain and now he looks much better.

They have shed out their winter coat now, and they are both blue roan. They looked more chestnut or bay roan before.
<img src="http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z98/bridgetbaker12/Tug.jpg"; alt="http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z98/bridgetbaker12/Tug.jpg"; class="bb-image" />
