@ Coaster- I actually am liking her color this year. Last year she was a tan.... i hated it, but she actually looks like a roan this year! Has me excited! And i have a friend with a mare named Graycie ;D She's built like Rosie but she is gray. Hence her name.. GRAYcie.
She is really pretty, we have never had a red roan at the farm with such a light color! It's quite nice and unique, or at least unique to me, we have a few chestnut based roans at the farm but they just look... well, they aren't 'ugly', but they all look pretty much look just like one another, lol.
My best friend has a red roan two year old named Chicks and we think theyre both prettier in certain areas. Chicks DEFINITALLY has better confo that Rosie, but Rosie is more upity than chicks. Chicks is a deeper darker red with a coontail but Rosie's color is more even than Chicks is xD We fight over who's horse is prettier haha! It's kind of ironic. My horses and hers are a LOT alike. We both have half siblings we've raised... our riding mares are out of the same great grandsire and we both have red roans xD
Aww, that's nice! None of my friends are really very into horses at all... my whole life I have been the oddball in the family and in my circle of friends for being so drawn to horses, lol. I mean, I have 'friends' at the farm where I work, but people that you meet through work are a little different.

I just recently got one of my friends interested in horses and she has been coming out and riding with me, which has been really great, but she is usually busy with her hubby and kids and family type stuff in general, so it's unlikely to become more than just a very part time hobby with her. She is doing very well with them considering she waited so long to even ride a horse though.
I met my friend through a horse club we have in my area. Im the only one in my family (besides my neice im teaching to ride) who rides. My friends i grew up with come ride with me SOMETIMES but most of em rarely even think about attempting it. Josie and i hit it off from the start when we met and we've been best friends ever since thankfully. We pretty much rely on each other to understand the horse stuff. When her filly was born yesterday she told me i was the only one who didnt reply with a "cool" or something like that. I was the only one dying on the other end to know the details. Same way the other way. My friends can tell me how well they think Roman (my gelding) is doing with his training but she's the only one who understands exactally WHAT it means.
