Ava update: Feb 29th:

Ok well last tuesday on January 24th We added a new addition to our family...Now we made our family a total of 4 dogs 3 cats and a ferret

She is about 3 months old Ok so the new pup her name is Ava and she is an American pit bull terrier, well thats what the people said but were thinking shes mixed because her paws are completely webbed and she has allot more fur then i thought pits did. They had the claimed mom and dad on site and we think the female they had is the mom like they said but were not so sure about the dad they just don't look like pure pits. She is super active and sweet...after we gave her her last set of puppy shots we want to start getting her socialized very young so we decided to take her to our nice clean community dog park, like i expected all the dogs were swarming around her and she got really scared and then they left and the whole time she just stood by my side and wouldn't go play with them, i think she will get better the more we take her. She gets allong with all are other dogs and cats and even the ferret! shes loves to play with the ferret because she doesn't know what to make of it. Hope you enjoyed!

shes a little over 3 months

and thank you! theres just things that make us think shes not pure bred i am also not used to pit puppies though only adults so yeah lol

well thats what we think....Because she has the webbed feet like labs do and shes furryer then pitbulls are but idk i guess we will have to see what she looks like when she gets older

She definitely looks like her hair's a little thicker than most Pitties, but that's just from the pictures. For some reason I thought Beagle -.- But Lab sounds better. She is ADORABLE.

So today we took Ava and the 3 other dogs for a walk by the river and after about 1 hour of running around playing we decided to take them down to this shallow calm part of the river to give them a drink like we always do. Well we let ava off the leash so she can run and at first she was just running back and forth on the beach and then all of a sudden *SPLASH!!* she ran right into the river...it was so funny because she came right back and was fine and then continued to run around, so now were really thinking she mixed with lab or possible Newfoundland. We never thought she would do that because it was only like 50 degrees out and the water was below 0 so we thought she would never do that! Haha thought i would share XD

Do you know every dor out there? xD I would say Border Collie or Lab. Just because she loves water though doesn't really mean to much, Emme loves water! She does dock divining and jump 20 feet 3 inches and my friend who has a Border Collie also does Dock Dogs. I had a French Bulldog who would swim from one end of the pond to the other just for the fun of it, no life jacket needed.

were mainly thinking lab although pitbulls love the water most of the time to, Her paws are completely webbed so we think she will really like the water and be a good swimmer, We were thinking newfie because she has droopy eyes like a boxer and a pushed in muzzle just a little bit though so there are so many breeds were thinking she could be XD

Yeah, there's no Newf in her. Lab is your best bet I think. You'll have to wait a year or two and see when shes an adult. xD I still believe Border Collie is a big possibility though. I know so many BC/APBT crosses that look EXACTLY like your dog. Her black and white color/patches would make a lot of sense then.

we only thought newf because of her size, and droopyness and how her fur is....and we don't really think boxer she just has a sushed in face sometimes like boxer does.....But yes we think lab....Border collies and pits don't have Webbed feet and labs/newfies do

Actually Border Collie's are sometimes known to have webbed feet. xD Which is another reason why I suggested it.
