And they find sooooo many dogs to play with. Sim rarely goes in the water, but if other dogs run into it, she'll chase them in!
It always buggers her out afterwards, which is good. She's getting her exercise! lol

There is so many breeds with so many different personalities. Chihuahuas, Boxers, Neos, Pointers, Bull Arabs, Spaniels, Dallys, and this little devil Boston Terrier that I love and want to steal. She's only 5mths old, and when we first met her, she charged full steam into a pack of 7 or so medium-large sized dogs. The attitude on this thing was awesome! She didn't yelp once when they were rolling her over, chasing her all over the beach. She -loved- it. So now I want one. <3

I'll have to take mah camera next time I go and try and get some shots of all the different breeds!

Even I am gonna be sad when we leave in 3 weeks. No beach for Sim, and no new-best-friend Boss!

<img src="http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/615/simboss.jpg"; alt="http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/615/simboss.jpg"; class="bb-image" />

  • That pitbull is stunning! Of course so is Sim :P
Boris was both being chased and chasing others, he even got 'attacked' by a tiny toy dog xP
It's just so peaceful watching all the dogs running around playing together.

I'm going to get a weimaraner now >.> I only just discovered the breed but I'm in love!
The one at the park, she was just gorgeous... so playful and friendly!
  • My cousin has a Weimaraner, I'll just go steal him and you can trade me Boris for him. :P

  • I do to the off leash dog park all the time. 8D Kira loves it. I have to be super watchful though because people around here are morons when it comes to training their dogs, so there are always aggressive or super dominant dogs around. One time this pack of five doberman surrounded Kira and pinned her. If she moved, they'd go for her throat. Owners just laughed, thought it was hilarious. I had to wade in and pull off the five dogs myself and then shepherd Kira away while shoving doberman because they'd try to charge her and pin her again. It was dumb.

Ugh, this. my beach is the same way. Those usually it is the medium-sized dogs who are bad. We have a tone of danes who are sweethearts, but man, some of the labs on the beach are vicious and unsocialized. This huge, overweight lab pinned my 10lb mutt, snarling and biting him, so I rushed over to pull him off. My dog was crying and trying to get away, and Mr. Lab owner came over laughing as said, "Their just playing, let them be. if you can't take it, go home". I was so mad.

  • People are sucky at reading canine body language. At my park it's usually the small yapper type dogs, or the labs/doberman/german shepherds that are the pains in my rear. Some people here have some -fat- labs too. They always try to mount Kira, so I have to chase them off. She's finally decided she's not taking their crap anymore. She went for one of the male GSDs that kept trying to mount her. Snapped at his face every time he came up from behind her. His owner told me to let her be- his dog needed to be taught a lesson.

  • I wish I had a dog park near me. Whenever we go to one of the localish agility places though they have a HUGE area that is fenced in and all the dogs can play in there and there is a pond. Emme isn't the most social and mostly just stays with me so I can throw her the ball off the dock, but when they get all the rescue Border Collies in there she has a blast. They all chase her around the pond. She tried chasing the others but she is always to fast xD

• We have 1 off leash park in my area and you have to get your dog fixed before they let you in. So no park for Skyra. :/

  • Thats so funny! XD

@Sim<;br>Sim and Boss are gorgeous! <3

  • I wish we had a dog park around here! But we live in the country so if we did nobody would go Dx
  • LMAO. XD

That is a perfect shot.

I take Lyla to the beach but I HATE dog parks, the one I live nearby a dog got bit my a poisonous snake & died.
Not to mention, I hear several stories of dogs becoming ill from dog parks (one of my friends dogs being one of them).
I wouldn't trust a dog park with all the other dogs, never know what they may carry.
But, that's just me.
  • That picture is epic. WIN. xD

We have a beach basically in our back yard, but my dogs hate it and wont go unless I'm swimming. At our dog beach they go crazy though. They love it. They become the friendliest babies. At our dog parks its another story. Its so tense sometimes. My dogs will be behaving perfectly and an untrained dog can come up and just ruin everything, picking fights and trying to bite me when I seperate them. A dog once attacked Laru then was yelled at by his owner for "losing". People at the park act like its a competition. Who's dog can dominate the rest. I much prefer the beaches. Everyones happy and social, and all anyone does is talk and laugh at our dogs acting like puppies again. <3
Goodbye old VP, hello disaster. xD
  • Looks like someone ate the sand. o.o
That's an amazing shot though.

All mine love the dog park. There's such a variety there, so many different breeds, ect.
  • @ Vi - DONE! Haha Boris isn't mine so I really don't care :P

@ Tina - Aww that would have been adorable!

@ Maitre - Thanks! :) Some owners are just so ignorant -.-

@ Kaz - D: that's shocking! We were lucky that all the dogs there were super gentle and only wanted to play. There was even this huge ridgeback that was just a super gentle giant xD I saw him coming and was like... oh crap and got ready to call Boris but it was all good!

@ Emme - I only have a tiny puppy pre-school type dog park near me, hence why I had never been to one before. But this place was huge and amazing. The grass area was completely fenced off with little (actually abnormally large but ye'know) agility type play equipment for the dogs and the beach was just lovely.

@ Triss - Aww that sucks but makes sense at the same time too >.<

@ Myst - Haha it was amazingly funny, we even showed the weimaraners owners and they laughed xP

@ Vamp - It's like that near where I live too :\ suckksss

@ Avla - Haha was just very lucky! I totally understand that, Boris wasn't even allowed out of the house until he was well vaccinated and health checked.

@ Zyn - Win indeed haha. There definitely seems to be a difference between the park and beach, I even managed to notice that when they were right next to each other! The owners in the park didn't watch their dogs and they were the ones that were certainly not trained well enough, whereas the dogs at the beach were very closely watched and VERY well trained. Mind you, I suppose that's why some stick to the park over beach xD

@ Patty - They were both half covered in sand after that haha. The weimaraner had this perfect half of a face covered in sand, it was amusing aha. I could stay there all day just to see the variety of breeds!

Apparently my site where the photos were was innapropriate, so, sorry that you can't see the rest of the photos :(
  • We don't have any off leash dog areas near me. The closest that I know of if an hour away. I don't know that I'd go to an off leash dog area with multiple dogs for the simple fact that I don't trust other dogs around my own. Too many dog fights start at dog parks.
