Am I the only one excited for this? I can't stop watching the trailer. I want to watch the movie so badly. I'm a little scared my hopes are too high, but the trailer is amazing

Yes, this is how I felt about Twilight. The movies pretty much changed my view on the books. I don't like them as much now. My hopes are even higher for Hunger Games. It's just so freakishly AWESOME.

xD you just gotta realize that it isnt THE book. its based off the BOOK. I go into the theatre waiting to see a good movie.. not the book in my head. There are too many book/movies where you choose one or the other because its in a pair, when if they were seperate they would both be considered good.

xD trust me.. ive seen PLENTY of movie/book combos. Harry Potter (some were good, others.. eh) Eragon (loved em both seperate but together they were SOOO different) Blood and Chocolate (Movie SUCKED!!!) Twilight (i wasnt disappointed with the movie. Not as good as the book but i wasnt disappointed) and so on and so forth xD

;D YES!!! Im super excited for it! Except i think they got haymitch toootally wrong... and Cinna. x.X totally wrong. But i LOVE Katniss! When i first saw her everyone else was complaining about how she wasnt dark or blonde and i was like.. yall.... its called hair dye and a spray tan! Her face is PERFECT! And once they got the shoot pics out then everyone loved her and i was just sitting in my "Cool kids corner" saying told ya soo xD

Hahah, I agree with you completely. It took me a few times watching the trailer before I realized who those strange people were. THEY WERE HAYMITCH AND CINNA. I pictured Cinna kind of beautiful in the weird Panem way. And Haymitch I pictured...with a slight beer gut, but not a large one! His hair a little scruffy, but not long.

Not a gag worthy comb over!! Bleh! Look up Hugh Laurie. I REALLY wanted him to be haymitch!!! And Cinna... i didnt expect him to be like THAT. I expected someone just overly plain. Not huge with big muscles or short. Just a plain looking guy in white clothes xD

Hugh Laurie is almost exactly how I pictured Haymitch. Hugh Laurie doesn't have the beer gut, but we can overlook that for now xD And then, I'm not sure that's how I pictured Gale. The person they picked is fine but didn't quite match up.

Gale looks perfect to me... but Peeta.. he'll work but... peeta wasnt so.... he didnt have those huge jaws O-o

OH MY YES. I like the actor that will be playing Peeta, but definitely not the Peeta I was imagining. Actually, most of the characters aren't what I was expecting, but they'll do. Primrose looks older then I expected. I know she's supposed to be 12. But I imagined her small. And young.

Yes! Like Rue! I liked Rue but i expected her to be italian looking. Olive skinned with dark hair and thin eyes. Almost elfish. But she'll do. Prim isnt as pretty as i thought she'd be. She looks sickly but Prim was supposed to be radiant.

Yes, Rue. I pictured her like an elf as well. A graceful, slight person. And as for prim, her face is kind of how I saw her...if you subtracted 3 years and gave her some plump little girl cheeks.

The actor they chose for Prim isn't how I saw her, but she isn't too bad, I think I can live with her. And the other day? I saw a picture of Mitt Romney looking straight at the camera, PERFECT President Snow, just needs a wig. His eyes look evil..

I looked up the Joey guy and he's pretty much what I thought as well. But, I saw Gale more hardened, you know? From living in district 12 and getting food for his family. And I like the Katniss actress too. I'm not sure she's exactly what I saw, but I really didn't have a set person I had in mind. So, she fits the bill. Not drop dead gorgeous, but pretty in a subtle way. For President Snow, I never saw him as anything, he was just a name within the pages of the book for me. Haha. Now that you saw Mitt Romney, he could do I suppose.

I did notice that even in the trailer most of the dialogue was straight from the book. And Suzanne Collins got to help write the screenplay. I have high hopes it will follow the book pretty well ^.^

Wooh! Finished Catching Fire, started Mockingjay. I don't wanna read Mockingjay, because then I'll have finished the series and go into the same withdrawl hole I recently dragged myself out of with The Wolves Of Mercy Falls.. It cannot be helped, though! Mockingjay is amazing, and I'm forcing myself to stay on VP instead of reading. O.o

WLAN! I just finished Linger! ;D I've gotta get Forever. But my bookstore has it in Hardcover but my Shiver and Linger are in paperback. It's annoying. HAHA. I can't wait to find out what happens to Grace, and whether or not Sam goes wolf again. D; But wheaty.. I like -books- otherwise I would do that. xD Reading from a screen (and I only have an iphone) would hurt after a short while. ;(

WLAN! Okay, sorry, total hijack of a Hunger Games thread for Wolves Of Mercy Falls, but.. Can't resist. The last book is incredible, Maggie Stiefvater is an awesome writer, but the ending can be a little disapointing depending on how you look at it. Don't you just adore Cole? XD There's suppose to be a Shiver movie coming out sometime this year, if they get their butts moving, that is.
