RIP My Friend :(

edited December 2011 in General Discussion
Well,i have a ring-neck dove, and i put it in a cage with some chickens, since we dont have a proper cage and that is the biggest we could get and i cant fit an avariy, and yeah,And then the chicken pect the doves rear feathers off and it was bleeding! I went to check on the then..the dove was lying down about to die bleeding and there was nothing i could do,but i picked it up and saw it breathe a couple more times then he went to heaven in my hands. i was so sad and depressed. I will miss you baby boy, forever in my heart. He was about 3 years old and gray with a black ring around his neck.If any one would please make me a banner for him please do,it is much appreciated. i will pay 50k each. Text: Fly to a place where you belong, sing that song that will belong in my heart forever. images: a heaven like sky with a ring neck dove flying through the air.

thanks guys!
-Wetnose101

Finny, you are so awesome. you made me an awesome banner i will post on here in a bit!

 • Why are you mad at the chicken when you're the one who mixed them? He would have been safer in a cardboard box, Thats like putting a snake and a mouse together and expecting them to get along. They are totally different.

RIP Dove

 • The cardboard box wouldn't have hurt him <3 I had a baby mockingbird that fell outta it's nest, and didn't have ANY of it's feathers, and I put him in a cardboard box with a homemade heating pad and a lamp on him at all times and he grew up, grew all his feathers, and learned to fly all while inside my house in a cardboard box =) He would fly through the dinning room and land on my head and shoulders all the time, and if anyone got close to me he would chase them around the house and finally land back on my shoulder. It was so cute. I'll try to find pictures of him!

I'm sorry to hear about your Dove though =( Poor thing.
 • i wish i can post some pics of him when he was still alive, but they are all on my itouch :( and i did put him in a cardboard box the first time,he flew away at night, then my neighbor found him in his backyard,a week later so the whole cardboard box thing didnt work out : P

 • Can i just ask, You didnt have somewhere to put him, so he went in with the chickens? How didnt you manage to get a cage in 3 weeks? you should have been able to get one, one week at a push.

 • I couldnt afford a cage since they are 500 bucks plus for a good one. :( I also dont appreciate you being rude.

Not everyone has money for a cage. She did what she thought was right and would keep it safe. She just lost a pet that she's already upset about. Blaming it on her isn't helping anything. She did nothing wrong IMO. She didn't know the chickens would kill it, and she did state that they got along perfectly fine for 3 weeks, so why should she worry about it and expect them to kill the dove and have to worry about a separate cage, if they were doing fine. That's just my opinion though =/
