Max's bath + a few updates

Max (Australian Kelpie/Shetland Sheepdog) needed a bath because we spent the week at the lake. I'd love for her to have the ridge, that'd be awesome. :] But she's still a cutie anyway. And thank you! Yeah, Molly has always been really clumsy and they look like such losers prancing around together. xD

The ridge is actually a spinal defect and RR's with the ridge are VERY unhealthy and can lead to a VERY early grave

I didn't know that either! I've never actually been around a purebred Rhodie and I always just assumed it was their fur like that.

Same. I thought it was just unique and they managed to get the genes to show up through all bred Rhodesians of which was only unique to them. Now hearing that it's actually a bad thing is like..disappointing.

Do you know if it's something that causes them pain? Cuz I like them as a breed, dunno if I'll actually get one someday. But I'd probably refrain owning one if I know beforehand it's something that hurts or causes problems. Like of course just about every old dogs get arthritis so I can see it becoming a problem when they get old but. Sorry if I'm spamming your thread, Garfield. Make it worst they put down the pups born without the ridge I heard, so pretty much killing off the healthy pups. The ridge has like hole in the back of the neck ?
