My rat Dioji is sneezing and wheezing!! Is it just a cold, anyone else have this experience with your rat?? He'll sneeze, then stay still and start wheezing, I can here the little squeek sounds he makes when he wheezes and I can see his chest going in and out quickly. Should I remove him from the tank and get him away from my other rat?? Is it just a cold??

    Just saw this...<br><br>I've had rats most my life, but I was little until now... x)<br><br>What kind of bedding do you use? It may just be that because he's in a tank the oils might not be escaping... asuming you use wood lol. What kind of treats do you give him? Has his friend started this too?

    He's not wheezing anymore and I haven't seen any other symptoms this whole time, his friend is normal and lazy like usual, while he's very active but usually just hides. The only problem is that everytime someone picks him up and sits down to play with him he sneezes like crazy the whole time... is he just scared?? He's used to me already, runs all over me and explores, and shows no fear but still sneezes. -.- I use sifted wood... is that ok?? It's the pretty confetti kind, I read that it wasn't the best, but it was better then a lot of other beddings. Also, I have another issue, can I PM you this one though?? Sorry, now that you've shown that you may be able to help me I shall bombard you!!! xD

    Alrighty :) it may just be a nervous reaction or something then :)<br><br>Sifted wood is fine, but what i do with my shavings is i make a giant hole in the bag and shuffle them around. It sounds stupid, but it gets most the oils out, which is great because rats get respritory problems quite often lol. <br><br>Go ahead, lol. I'm more than happy to help :)
