  • Haha Oh Sami. Im going to send you the stuff, and after my auction is over ill send you some vpc (virtual play cash)
  • Hi! If you need any dogs or anything message me. Im sure i could find you some decent ones to start with.
  • I would love a dog but I also want to learn about eventing, I don't understand how it works. Can I have some advice on that?

  • I can explain eventing well. Im in the top 25 highest eventers ever on the game. Itll be a long and tedious journey though. Ready for it?
  • Yeah, I think so. But I ask a lot of stupid questions and I make sure I understand things though, so be prepared.

  • Id rather you do so xD okay so have you decided WHAT you want to show? Thats the first part to it... a certain breed or a certain event?
  • I don't really have a specific preferance yet I wanted to learn about eventing first

  • That will be a bit of an information overload. I dont think i could tell you everything you need to know and have you retain it unless you had some hands on experience.
  • sorry haha. How about just racing? A friend has some greyhounds, so thats probolly the best idea for me right now.

  • Im trying to find an eventing sticky but I cant, does anyone else see one for her?
  • Found it, sammi look here on eventing. > <a href="http://virtualpups.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=45511"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">viewtopic.php?f=16&t=45511</a>
  • What does that mean?
    ForSami.gif
  • Haha Sami you sound the same online as you do in real life. Its a link, copy and paste it into the url bar, and it leads you to a page to help you (:
  • Ooookay! Lesson 1) Some events are "breeder events" where players can raise "super dogs" who almost always win. While it is good to be the owner of the super dog they are generally VERY VERY expensive to buy and difficult to breed and show. Racing, Weight Pulling are just a couple of these events. Unless you want to dish out 4 or 5 mil for a dog plus around a mil for training with loyalty AND then wait a few years for adapt/loyalty to raise a bunch i dont recommend these kinds of events for a first timer =)
  • What do you reccomend for a newbie and what dog for that event?
    ForSami.gif
  • My personal favorite for newbies is herding. There is no major dogs in it and any well trained dog wins a bit. And any herding dog does well
  • I reccomended Confromation to her, but you know way more about eventing then I do. Sami, once my money is here from selling my unmades, I will buy you a nice herding border collie (:

<br><br>The thing about conformation is they always go to the high adept/courage dogs with capped loyalty. I can train a herding dog or a canine disc dog, or even a dock jumping dog, but it would cost quite a bit of money to talk me into training a conformation dog with no guarantee and it would only have a few years of showing anyways. Understand?
  • Mhm, I was told as a newbie that was the best. Now I feel bad for telling all the newbies the same. o.o
  • Ive been away from Herding awhile, was is Loyalty that should be higher? Im looking for a dog for Sami and im Torn on what to buy.
  • Haha, thanks so much guys(:
    ForSami.gif
  • Well in some respects it is. Conformation is where rescued or import dogs do best. The breeds have set standards on VP and most imports come closely to the standard and badly stated dogs usually STAY around the standard. All you have to do is disc train a dog and its set to go for conformation BUT it will not be good for breeding unless its stat maxxed. And then the puppies will be horrible for conformation if they ARE stat maxxed parents. So in this case since im giving her a dog it would make more sense to go ahead and choose an event in where the dogs need to be stat maxxed so she can improve upon the show standard instead of having a semi good dog that it's puppies aren't good for the shows the parents are for and she'll probably not sell any puppies from the parents. Understand?
  • an ideal dog would be a herding dog with capped loyalty, negative aggro, and large endurance for herding
  • Yuppers (: I just bought an exellent herding dog instead for ya sammi, if you got my msg. Your the longest a real life friend has ever stayed on vp haha <randomness. The dog should be an exellent stud as well, 10x4 and stat/skill maxed (:
  • great ;D im a herder myself. All my dogs have VVT in front of them. I breed aussies and border collies
  • In a non sp.kennal is it possible to decrease argo? The dog I bought has very very high argo, wich was the only down side.
