• I'll bet you a million bucks that not all the dogs in the world were in that competition
 • Well no, not all dogs in the world were there but every dog that wanted to be there that qualified was.
Not every person runs at the olympics, but the winner still holds the worlds fastest runner in 200meters at that moment in time.
There may have been faster people in the past but for the moment they are the best of the best.
Thats what Crufts is about, showing the world the best dogs in the world at present.
Crufts is the largest and most prestigious dog showing even in the world and dogs from all over the world travel to it for this very reason to have a chance at claming the title of "Best in Show, Crufts 2011(or whatever year)".

Cant say that because not ever dog was there that the winner is not the best dog to uphold its breed standard.
Other wise whats the point of competitions when not all subjects enter it?
 • I know what crufts is :| But thank you for your explanation.
Obviously we have different opinions.
My comment really wasn't meant to be anything but a joke, by the way.
