I'm going to Knott's Berry Farm with my brother and a friend next week. I adore the place(grew up going there a lot since my father contracted with them to transport their stagecoach horses)!I'm actually hoping to get a season pass so I can go again and again throughout the year. For those that don't know, Knott's Berry Farm is an amusement park that started as a real berry farm, but now has roller coasters, rides, shows, and so on. Boysenberries were actually invented and pioneered there back in the 1930's. I've been so stressed out and exhausted from college, so this is going to be a well deserved break. I'm really looking forward to checking out the bakery there(I've been learning to bake), buying some of their signature apple cinnamon jelly, and maybe I'll try their famous funnel cake since I've never tried it despite going dozens of times. Of course, the roller coasters will also be lots of fun too~ I'm also going to bake cookies to give to my friend before going, since he is nice enough to drive us, and let us sleep at his home. Ahhh! Next week is going to be fun. I can't wait!
I'm done with VP. I'll just be around until I get all my dogs and lines placed in good hands. If you want to contact me, please do so through deviantART.

 • hee hee, i've done all of this.. I liked Knott's Berry farm better then Disney Land :shock: It's just easier to get around and less tiring, but with awesome rides. You must go on the water ride and the huge spinny one of which I forget the name :shock: I also went to Knott's scary farm...I called it NOT SCARY FARM because it was NOT scary..that I don't recommend -.- The games are awesome though, you can get huge panda bears so easily : ) ok..I'm done.
 • Honestly, I probably like Knott's more than Disneyland too(it's close though). You can have fun, and learn something educational at Knott's. I love the history and tradition of the place. I'm sure I'm a bit biased though, because I've been dozen of times since I was a little kid while I've only been to Disneyland about 3 times. Disneyland is just too expensive! x_x

We won't be going on water rides that day(maybe the log ride, since you don't get that wet). We are going out to eat after spending the day at the park, so we don't want to be wet. I'll also be spending the night at my friend's house, and since it's just one night I'm not going to bother with taking anything other than a spare shirt, which means I'll be sleeping in my clothes. I got DRENCHED on the rapids last time I went though. Everyone thought it was hilarious, including the man and little girl that rode with us. My friend walked around saying things that implied I peed my pants to get random people to stare at me! My clothes were still damp the next morning when I went to wash them. Also, one time when I went with my school to one of the Knott's night events, all we did was go on the water rides, because it was freezing cold, and back then we thought it was hilarious. There is a 90% chance I'll be getting a season pass, so I'll be able to go on the water rides some other time when keeping my clothes clean isn't so important The water rides will be awesome as it warms up here :D

Oh, what spinny one? Rip Tide? It flips you over and over again, while it shoots water up at you. That one is so much fun! Last time I went, we went on it twice, and would have gone again, but one of the people we were with was too afraid, and we didn't want him to just stand around watching us the whole time.

Yeah, I heard Knott's Scary Farm is kind of lame. I heard it used to be better, but I believe they changed a lot of the policies about what the performers can do to you. I've never gone, because of that, and the season pass won't count towards Knott's Scary Farm, so I won't be going later in the year either. Hollywood Horror Nights at Universal Studios is supposedly really intense though, so I'm hoping to go for my B-Day this year if I have the money. Have you been there?

 • Oh my goodness, GO TO HOLLYWOOD HORROR NIGHTS!!!
lol..I wouldn't say it was extremely scary, but it was so much fun. You are literally just shivering but cracking up the whole time. And YES!! Rip Tide is what I'm talking about. Last time I went there was literally NO ONE in line for that ride for like..two hours straight..so for those two hours me and my cousin went on again..and again..and again until we wanted to puke. :mrgreen: Seriously though, Not Scary Farm is a total waste of money. You know those games at theme parks where you try to toss the white ball into the yellow, red, white, or blue floating cups?? I pushed my cousin into that game..it was AWESOME. lol, she was soaked and so mad.
 • awesome! have fun!

 • I've never heard of that place, I don't think, where is it exactly? See..everyone raves about Disney and how "amazing it is" and this and that. But like, everyone has gone and it friggin Expensive. That's basically why I've never gone. That and I'm one of the outsider children who just don't give a crap about it =) Like..I'd go if the opportunity ever arrose, but it's not a dream of mine. However. Your amusement park sound really kool by the description and excitement in your posts! So if it's a decent price, I'll ask about it. I've been to Canobie Lake and Six Flags so many times, I just don't even get excited for them any more. Also why I don't go to Roger Willams Zoo anymore or Mystic Aquarium. I just get bored of it..
Same here! No one was in line for Rip Tide, so that's why we went twice in a row. I think people are either scared of it, or don't get on, because they think it won't be as fun as the roller coasters. lol, wow! You didn't get in trouble for that? It's be pretty funny to see someone "fall" in one of those floating cup games.

awesome! have fun!
Thanks~

It's a California amusement park, so if you live somewhere else, then that might be why. However, the Knott's brand shortbread cookies and fruit preserves are sold nationally at grocery stores. Snoopy from the Peanuts is also the official mascot of Knott's Berry Farm.

It's in Southern California. I agree, Disneyland is just way too expensive! I've gone a couple times throughout my life, but it was mostly when I was still young enough to have the children's ticket price. The average price of a Knott's ticket is $30 while Disneyland is $100! Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm are really close in terms of which is my favorite, but I lean more towards Knott's. It's got a great atmosphere with so many cool themes. The themed areas are ghost town, fiesta village, the boardwalk, camp Snoopy, wild water wilderness, and Indian trails. <a href="http://www.knotts.com/public/park/tour/index.cfm"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://www.knotts.com/public/park/tour/index.cfm;

I also went to Canada with my aunt and uncle over the summer and we went to Canada's Wonderland. Place was Huge! There's an area right outside the entrance fence that was all like grassy and picnic worthy. So like most parks, you weren't allowed to bring your own food in (water was allowed though). But what's kool is that you could leave and come right back in with no trouble (they had to give you a stamp first though). I went there 2 days because that's the kind of tickets we got. My uncle actually prefers golfing so he wanted to do that instead, so my aunt got the idea that we could try to sell the ticket to someone XD And we did! Gah, it was so kool. But anywho. I had a blast the first day, the second day was a little miserable at times, but I'm thankful for the experience.

 • That does sound a lot like Knott's Berry Farm. At Knott's you can also get your hand stamped if you want to leave the park to go to your car, one of the near by restaurants, or shopping at the Knott's market place.

 • Kool =) Although. I live on the east coast so I'm not quite sure when I'll be going, if ever. But if I ever happen to be in the area, hopefully I'll remember hearing about it and check it out.
