For the bettering of the community.

This association is of the players and for the players. This is to improve the Virtualpup community and help it come together in on celebrations of holidays or simple fun online festivals that’ll be hosted from this club. This association will be centered towards the new players and sponsors. This association will benefit from their outstanding members who act with kindness but with their opinions, the members will kindly help plan and sort events that the community can take place with. This is the VAA and our goal is to bring the community together. For those who have questions on the VAA or wishing to join, please message councilmen. Please refrain from posting on the forum.

Chairman: PrinceSushi Chairman: Shay (Young Native) Chairman: Lilly Waters

These are the head of the VAA. Each Chairman is equal in power but higher than the rest of the council. They make sure power is regulate and things run smoothly. They can allow entrances into the club or decline. They watch over all community activities and events.

Secretary: Signa

The Secretary is who starts the event/activity post and keep track of written records. This is the person who will update the activities/events on the original post.

Treasury: Oreo

Treasury is the person who keeps track of money received or given. They keep track of who it's from and take care of finances. Donations should be given to the kennel they watch over.

Sergent of Arms: Kazuko

The Sergent of Arms watches every player, even council, to prevent disputes among the association and to also watch the council and stop the abuse of power within.

Head Graphics Maker: Nickel Head Graphics Maker: Coaster

There are two Head Graphics Makers to collaborate with other graphics makers within the association to make banners within the group for starting posts/events. They're the ones to go to if you want to make your starting post very decorative and pretty.

To join you must: Be knowledgeable of the game (Emphasis on this.) Agenda: Christmas Events/Activities

Attempting to start the discussion on the Christmas events, I propose the traditional Secret Santa. We can also do artistic events such as best Christmas banner, best Christmas Layout, and best Christmas Art. That way we can encourage graphic makers and artists to challenge themselves with being confident and posting their art to get treats in return. We can also do a 'Daily Train Drawing' where people put in three links at the most of a dogs that need to be trained and one (or more depending on how the association wishes to do it) link will be chosen at random and that dog will be trained. We can make training limits for groomings/RHs. I volunteer myself to be a trainer for the Daily Train Drawing. None of these events won't be effective until a chosen date is done and a post is made on the Event Board. Does anyone else have any ideas? Secretary, it would be nice to write down all ideas on Word and save as a document, please? =] Also for our Head and honorary graphic makers, we need a clickable banner for our Treasury kennel to link to this post and a posh layout for the kennel. =] If people are willing to collaborate or work individually, please post if you're interested in helping. I will elaborate on what seems like a nice layout and everyone else can provide suggestions for our graphics team's first project if they wish to accept it. I made a temporary scroll box for incoming donations and a link to our forum post for the time being. I also made a donation of 5m to start things off. Thanks!

We have 12m thanks to Ori, Oreo, and me donating. Also, A BIG thanks to Nutty for generously upgrading the Treasury kennel. Now that we have unmade imports, I think we should auction them off to boost our VPC so we can get more money to help future funding. What do you guys think?

I have some things to recommend for the Secret Santa, along with your ideas of the art competition areas and the drawings. I think it would be cool also to have a list of numbred items donated by members of the VAA for the Secret Santa, and you could choose a spot for the gift you would like to give away. So for example you had your list, 1.Free Banner *(By Oreogirl) 2.Unmade Import 3.1 oak gifty *(By Oreogirl) 4.5 million 5.20 skill/stat maxs to 280. *(By Oreogirl) *Would represent who is providing the item. So lets say Oreo decided to take slot 4 and donate it to a random novice player. The random novice or sponsor than would receive a Christmas present from their secret Santa. And of course we would have alot more prizes so more people could get things. Just something you could add on to your Secret Santa, but of course you would need donations.

That's a good idea. =] So, would the members of the VAA be allowed to choose the slots and give to someone? If so, how are we to ensure that this won't be abused by people favoring towards someone than another and giving the ones they don't really care for a less costly gift? Those are only questions so I could be clarified, Oreo. It's a good idea. The direct donations to the Christmas Event would be credited. Credited as in the name of the donor will have their name next to their given items so they can receive a grateful thanks and have the knowing they help contributed to a wonderful event. =]

I'm afraid of having events where someone gets an awesome prize because they're somehow 'better' than another player. I can already imagine people forming grudges if they don't win. Usually the only competition that is deemed 'fair' is by complete luck or by a panel of completely unbiased judges. The regular Secret Santa would be good (a drawing of pairs randomly). I personally like 'give and receive' sorts of events. We could do something like... The Seven Days of Giving, where people would give a gift. Gifts would have to be approved to prevent someone from giving a really bad dog and receiving ten million in the end, but that beside, here's what I was thinking: Once a day, for seven days, people give something. Banners, art, dogs, trainings, etc. We'd need a minimum value and a maximum value to make things more fair. Then, one person who does not wish to participate (that way no one else knows what number corresponds to what prize) takes all those gifts, shuffles them up, and makes a list. Then we number this list. Only people who participated in the Seven Days of Giving can participate in the Five Days of Receiving. Once a day, for five days, people choose a number of the list. They cannot select the same number as someone else, each number corresponding to a prize. The leftover prizes are donated to the Association for use in other contests.

That sounds good Kazuko. =] Really good idea. Oreo, it isn't a bad idea. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't any loopholes. We need to find a minimum. I haven't been big on banner gifts since some people usually do that and they're not of the best, usually only taking 2 minutes of the person's time on Paint. Banners always been unstable in my mind, but since we're having people approve then that'll take care of unfair gifts. We just need to find a minimum now. *thinks* You have an idea on what should be minimum, anyone?

Is this a Member only event? If it's Member only, then I'd say a 500k minimum, and if it's a general public event a 100k minimum. 100k is a decent amount, but most of the community, if they truly participate, can afford that.

No, this is our first community event. We have around 22m that we can work with so far and two gifties in the Treasury. 100k sounds decent. How about the pricing of dogs/graphics? I'm pretty sure trainings would be easy to price.

Trainings definitely would be easy, someone donated a bunch of regional level show dogs to me, as long with a bunch of fully trained high stated dogs as well. Treasurer if you would like you can bid 0 on anything that is currently marked 10k. If your still thinking about Oreo's idea

I don't think giving equal gifts would be too much of a problem. Rather than just give someone something random, we could have a price that it has to equal, roughly? For example, say we have -eh- 1 mill, and 10 people participate, they would each need a gift equal to about 100k. (I know we will obviously get a lot more than that, but math isn't my subject

) Someone already said this didn't they?

Yeah, I can agree with the pricing chart. Also with the Head Graphics Makers. Dog Alley- Are you talking about that people have to have a gift equivalent to the money we start with for the event? That would help us with regaining with what we had, but I believe that'd be a little confusing and hard. However, that's me. I'm not good at math, either. We also want to encourage novices to participate so they'd be more enthused to play the game and we can start having new, bold players within the game since we've lost so many already.

Young, if you PM me, I can get talk to Nickel so we can get some graphics for the events. Some lovely banners or tags for the titles etc. would look great as well as prizes. I'll also donate some VPC and custom graphics. I'll send the contract for the VPC as soon as I get around to it XD

I believe I answered this on the old post. =] There's a difference between eventing dogs and actually knowing their strengths. Anyone can event but some people know how to truly put the dog's strengths in the right events. It wasn't too long ago you asked what events your dogs would do good in among a few players in-game. I think you still have time to learn more and advance in the game before trying to join the VAA. =] You also need to be self-earning to help with donations and such. VPC is the main concerning donation we need. From the last post, you didn't have that much. It shows you still have more room to grow and learn to make it up in the game. Maybe next time later in the future.

Surely Nickel and I could get some graphics together for the event as well as a layout for the VAA kennel

Artist events sound like an excellent idea! Maybe even a contest for designing the event banner or something of that sort?
