I most likely won't be able to go to the store for supplies or costumes, and most places around here are already starting to get rid of their Halloween stuff for Thanksgiving and Christmas. One store we went to last week to get ideas was in the process of removing everything that night. It's really disappointing, and I'm so upset at the moment that I feel numb. I'm definitely disappointed with my mother who could have taken me this week, but she told me "I don't feel like it." Probably won't have time to go next week either, and whose to say what will be left by the time I do get to go. I'm so stressed out, especially with school, so I really needed this break, but it's just turning into a big ball of more stress.<br><br>I wish I could go into more detail, but it would just turn into a huge post.

I love Halloween. It's my favorite time of the year (: You get to go mess around with people and dress up as whatever you want and all that good stuff (:<br><br>Plus, I love the history behind Halloween, where the carving of pumpkins came into the picture, and what Halloween is about, etc. <br><br>AND! Even though this state decided that 60 degree weather wasn't warm enough for it and spiked up the temperature to the 80's again, the colors are changing about as much as they can, AND! I'm going to Ohio this weekend, so I'm preparing for cold weather! AND! Autumn is typically great here in Cali. It's my favorite season, because it's not scorching hot during the day, and it's nice and cool at night. However, we got some weird weather this month. A week of insane thunderstorms, and now it's back to scorching hot. I brought all my cacti and succulents in thinking it was time to overwinter them, but ended up putting all of them back outside yesterday. If the weather says the way it is, then they probably have a couple more weeks until they need to come in.<br><br>I've never seen leaves really change like people go on about in other parts of the country. In California the weather goes from one extreme to the other so fast that the leave just fall off in a week. <br><br>Pumpkin carving can be fun, but I really just like cooking the seeds. They are so good when you bake them. lol.<br><br><br>Are you dressing up as anything?

It's kind of the same way here in NC with the leaves. The mountains get the darker colored browns and golds, and we just get brown, if we're lucky some red and gold in the area I live in.<br>If you go further north, to TN or somewhere, it gets a bit more vibrant, same thing in the upper peninsula part of the US. It was my favorite part of the year in Ohio, because we had two huge maple trees [the ones with the purple leaves] in the front yard (: And the helicopter seeds <br><br>I love baking the pumpkin seeds, but I like the...insane things I do with pumpkins. I wish I had taken some pictures of my carvings last year to show you <br><br>And, I think I'm going to go as the girl from "Phantom of the Opera", or maybe a fairy. Not sure ;D Are you?

My brother once carved a pumpkin, and then stuck it on his head as a mask. That's the craziest thing we've ever done with pumpkins, other than just carving designs in them. Holy cow though, Food Network had some seriously amazing pumpkin carver contest thing on the other day while I was on the treadmill. The detail was insane.<br><br>I like the idea of Christine. Are you going to get a pre-made costume, or make your own? Depending on the outfit, I imagine it would be hard.<br><br>The theme for my birthday party is wild west zombies. My friend is going to be a zombie Mexican, I'm the zombie Native American, and my brother will <span style="font-style:italic">hopefully </span>be the zombie cowboy. He's being REALLY picky though. When it comes to costumes he always gets some picture in his head of how a real/authentic version is supposed to look, and then won't settle for anything that doesn't meet those standards. It's really stupid, and he does it every year. Pssah, it's not like the costume I got today(<a href="http://eskimocostumes.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/indian_princess_teen_costume.jpg"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">Here's a photo</a>) looks like an authentic Native American dress. My little dog even got a cowboy hat and bandanna from Petsmart today, and he makes a believable cowboy. Is it authentic? No, but you can tell he's a little cowboy(cowdog?).

<br>Sorry I haven't kept up with the countdown. I completely passed out the other day, and haven't been feeling well since then. My mother thinks it was a kidney stone, or just really bad dehydration. I'm also very busy tidying up the house, and rearranging my room for the TV I'm borrowing from my friend. I'm tempted to go down to the home store and buy paint while I'm moving all the furniture around, but I don't know if I want to take on painting my room during this holiday. Maybe the next.

For awhile we thought we were doing pizza again, but only one person really wants that. We're going to do shredded beef and grilled chicken tacos with all kinds of stuff to put on them, nachos, grilled peppers, rice, beans, chilaquiles(my friend is bringing it), brain shaped jello(my friend is also bringing this), carrot cake, and maybe a little bit of ice cream for my brother since he doesn't like carrot cake. Mexican food definitely goes with our theme better than pizza, and it can be healthier.<br><br>We're still thinking about actively though. My friend is bringing his Wii, and we'll probably watch movies.We just have to hope that will last us until night time.

<br>My mother and I have made a dent in the cleaning. The other day I completely cleaned the front porch, and trimmed the bushes.Today I did some cleaning by the front door, completely scrubbed down the cage and toys for my bird, fixed my mother's aquarium, and cleaned my bathroom. My mother started on the kitchen. I still need to at least clean Darwin's crate, the living room, the family room, the loft, and the dinner table. After all the cleaning I then have to put up a few decorations.I hope I can get it all done before the holiday.

My mother is busy with school(she has made efforts to help me a little though), and my brother makes everything worse, because he's a pig. He was supposed to clean the loft, which he <span style="font-style:italic">trashed</span>, but instead he's out with my friend at Disneyland, since I had to turn the offer down to clean the house. It ticks me off. <br><br><br><br>Eh. At least the Undead Nightmare pack for Red Dead Redemption came out yesterday. Yay cowboy zombies!!! I already beat the story, and collected all 4 horses of the Apocalypse. All I need is the Unicorn.
