She's an Australian Shepherd x German Shepherd mix. She hasn't barked or whined yet. ._. Very quiet. Vincent and I decided on her name because she has a white marking on her chest resembling the Japanese character 'ki'. And then we decided on 'ra' as the last part. 8D; So. Yeah, she's cute. I'll have more pictures later. xD We're all kinda exhausted.

A lady at petsmart was convinced she was part border collie. She's a bout ten weeks old. The shelter didnt mention she had four types of parasite and no microchip. She's also not spayed. We got her worm medicine today and got her chipped and her distemper booster today. <img src="http://i35.tinypic.com/2me8ozd.jpg"; alt="http://i35.tinypic.com/2me8ozd.jpg"; class="bb-image" />

An update: Kira gained about 6lbs in the few weeks we've had her. She still looks skinny. After much googling it's been decided she is most definitely border collie x german shepherd. She's much more active, more excitable. She even tried to act like a puppy at Petsmart the other day, bouncing around and tugging on the leash and trying to play with any dog that would look at her. It was adorable, if not a bit embarrassing. The surrounding people and their dogs were good sports, otherwise she would've recieved a quick, firm correction. Other than this one instance, she's been remarkable on lead. She heels properly, don't go after dogs/squirrels/bikers/joggers/etc. She does try to herd seagulls at the beach however, and dragonflies here at the house, but our leash is quite short. We bought her a retractable leash for the beaches ONLY (I hate seeing people on walks with uncontrolled dogs on flexi-leashes) and a stake and long, strong line for our front yard, so she can herd to her heart's content.

Her worms are cleared up, she went in for her most recent round of vaccinations, deworming, etc last weekend. All in all she's a happy (expensive) puppy.

She's gotten big, I think she's got some sort of sight hound in her like a Saluki. She would make an awesome agility dog, oh what I would do to have an agility dog. Haha!

Nah. She really looks nothing like a sighthound. xD She just has fuzzy ears. I googled German Shepherd x Border Collie mixes and found a few puppies who looked exactly like her. xD I already have her going over jumps. We just don't have anything else to use. xD;
