NOT ANOTHER NEWBIE ASKING FOR HELP? Well yes

I saw that if I Neutered a a cheap dog I would make money. I also was told untrained dogs are like poison to new players. So I released the dogs I Neutered bc I saw no point in keeping them. Why are people messaging me saying I stole their dogs and killed them? I messaged a trainer to ask for help training (not as friendly as I hoped for) They said I couldn't train bc I was a novice. So my question is how do I get training and how do I know what to train the dog in? I got a message that said my stud is cheap and trained wrong. That I should take him off the market to increase the breed stats. How do I get him trained more? I was told my profile was boring and I needed a layout if I wanted anyone to buy my stuff. lol how do I get a layout? :P any other advice would help a ton

You bought the dogs, and can you what you want with them. Buying / neutering / releasing is a good way for a novice to make money. Q:I messaged a trainer to ask for help training (not as friendly as I hoped for) They said I couldn't train bc I was a novice. So my question is how do I get training and how do I know what to train the dog in? A: Novices can train, but not as well as sponcers. Novices can skill max, which involves training tricks, and filling up the four bars. (working, sport, discipline and show.) Most people train their dog '280' in skills, Which means 100 in two bars, and 80 in another (each dog can only have 280 points trained on them.) A thing that sponcers can do, whilst novices cant, is stat max. This involves training so that stats on the left 'cap' at 200. (stop rising whilst training, with the accpetions of aggression which caps at 250 and loyalty which doesnt cap at all.) This helps raise the birthstats of the next generation, gaining more stars. The stat maxxed, better starred dogs are more likey to be bred with. Q:I got a message that said my stud is cheap and trained wrong. That I should take him off the market to increase the breed stats. How do I get him trained more? A: Pay a sponcer trainer to train him (that can be expensive though) There are lots of ways to get free trainings on the forums, such as Giveaways and Games (eg. I wish) Alot of people will also give a free training to responsible newbies. I would offer, but my kennel expired awhile back. Q:I was told my profile was boring and I needed a layout if I wanted anyone to buy my stuff. lol how do I get a layout? :P A: Kennel layouts are written in HTML. To edit it, go to Management > Edit Kennel on the main site. You can buy a personal one from someone, or get a free, already made one from some sites (Ill try and find some links later) I can make you a free banner if you like.

Alternativly, you can learn online and make yourself a layout. If you act responsible and nicely, people will be nice back. Im sure you'll quickly make friends. Im here if you want to talk, want to ask / need something. Just send me a PM

By nuetering a dog, yes you do make money, but only $500. And those people that are saying that you killed their dogs, just don't listen to them =P It's a virtual game, they need to get over it. x3 Novices can train, but only to a certain point. Novices can't do the full training like maxxing stats, if I remember correctly. Instead of getting to the full 200 (and even more, on some stats), novices can only get to 100, and it stays there, unless you have a sponsor trainer train it. You can get training from a sponsor.

There is a help link on VP, here it is (for the skills): <a href="http://virtualpups.com/help/k9s.php#skills"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://virtualpups.com/help/k9s.php#skills</a>; If your wanting to show, your skills and sometimes stats depend on what your going to show in. Say if you want to show your dog in Dock Jumping, your stats: speed, strength, and hyperness need to be high, and the dog has to have 100 in sport. Here is the link to the types of events, and it tells you what the dog should have: <a href="http://virtualpups.com/help/help_events.php#types"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://virtualpups.com/help/help_events.php#types</a> If you're breeding dogs and trying to get 10x4s (which is four stars in each stat), most people RH or groom for a long period of time. Rough housing raises stats and aggression, while grooming will just raise the stats (and if you groom for a long time, the stats can get really high!) If you want a layout, go to the general services section on the forums, or even maybe the commision corner section (however, this section might mostly be art ^^). Sometimes you can find free, already made, layouts... and they're pretty good too! You could always post in the wanted section for layouts (and also dogs, dyes, upgrades, ect.). But be warned, most requested layouts cost a ton of VP moolah. I hope this helps!

Neutering and releasing low statted dogs is VERY GOOD for the game. People who send you those messages are the backyard breeders of VP - very unhelpful unless you need assistance spamming the server with unnecessary data LOL The FAQs are very, very good. I highly recommend reading them. Just put people who have a hard time understanding the meaning of things like "game" and "data" on your ignore list - they aren't worth your time
