• At first I was looking into brindles, but these two only carry the fawn/white gene.
Color isn't a really big issue with me, personality, temperament, etc. is more important.
  • yeah..
so have you got to go & play/ see the mother and father? or ask about health issues vet checks ect.?
do you know if there wrinkles are pinned or if they were born like that?
sorry if im askin to many questions.. just excited for you(:

  • The pups aren't due until July 24th, but my boyfriend has met the breeder about 3 times. I emailed her today, but once the pups are born I am going to go over there and pick mine out, 6 out of 8 of her last litter became show dogs.
English Bulldogs are naturally born with wrinkles. ;)
  • yeah i know there born with wrinkles ha..
just some dont have many wrinkles. so people take them to the vet and "pin" them. witch makes them have more wrinkles.

  • I've never heard of that, but I've seen some bullies with pretty big ropes on their noses. Genetically, they can have a lot of wrinkles. lol.
Usually they grow out of it as they get older.
  • well, im really excited.. cant wait to see pictures lol. i hope you pick the right one(: hopefully he/she can be a show doggie  i love show doggie there B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L

  • Me too!
The breeder told me that last year the pups sold for $2,000 - but this year they are taking into consideration the state of the economy, especially since the oil spill has effected Alabama a lot, but I think it will still be $1,000-1,500.
Anyways, her female has a vet check up in two weeks, and they will see how many is in there. :3
  • Why on earth would those puppies be $2000 ?!?!
You could get a diehard rare protection breed for less than that.

Ch. bloodlines for one, 6 our of 8 of those puppies are now show dogs.
Not to mention the cost of an English Bulldog pregnancy because of C-sections, stud fee, etc etc.
I know some breeders who are selling their English Bulldogs for $2500-3000.

I'm not looking at price, I'm looking at health, temperament, etc.

The male we had from champion lines cost us around a $1000 and our female was something like $1500, and that was at least 10 years ago. They've gone way up over the years due to their popularity rising. When my mom considered breeding them(our female had problems and had to be euthanized at a young age, so we were never able to) the vet(he specialized in English bulldogs) told us that a lot do have to under go C-sections, which is not cheap, and thus it keeps their prices high. Nowadays I think you'd be pretty darn lucky to get one with papers for $1000.

I agree with you Avla, price shouldn't be the biggest factor. I plan on getting an Irish Wolfhound, and though everyone tells me I shouldn't(because they go for $1,000-$2,000), I just don't care. I've fallen utterly in love with the breed, and my top priorities are health and temperament....and size to some degree. Heck, if I have to import one from Ireland for some awful amount, given enough time to save everything up the money, I would still do it!

Anyways...do you have any idea what gender you want? The father is gorgeous! If his pups turn out just like him, I'd totally get one(if I was looking for an English bulldog).
I'm done with VP. I'll just be around until I get all my dogs and lines placed in good hands. If you want to contact me, please do so through deviantART.
  • :O *jealousy*
Those pups are going to be beautiful. I plan on getting a bully to show here in a few years. Make sure the breeder is reputable, bullies are terrible when it comes to health issues. :[

  • @Sushi-Irish Wolfhounds are amazing dogs. :D I want a male, but we will see what Daisy gives us, I plan to take this dog everywhere with me. :P

@Pepper-Not all Bulldogs have bad health issues if they are properly taken care of.
  • If they come from the right breeder, the complications will mostly be minimal. Usually the health issues are hereditary. Not always, but usually.

  • Yeah, I've done my research. ;)
