Yeah, I would. It's really easy to use. You can use it like any regular camera (click a button) but there are also tons of other options with manual that I'm still learning four years later, lol. So, it's good for beginners through to experienced photographers, in my opinion.<br><br>I don't think the D50 is available in stores anymore (could probably get it offline somewhere) but I think the D60 is available, and it's very similar <br>

errm I believe my camera was a 500-600$ camera at the time...<br><br>Looks like the D60 is about 700$ new. Lol, some expensive equipment. You could check around for deals and whatnot though. Just be careful if you're thinking of buying one used.<br><br>The lens can make the biggest differences though, and for an incredible lens, its upwards of 2k for one =/ Sadly, i do not have one of those beasts xD
