Final Grades

I just got my final semester grades.

Criminal Law - A
Intro To Law Enforcement - A
Interpersonal Communication - A
Political Science - A

I was soooo relieved to see the grades for the 2 law classes. I had been worried about them, especially the criminal law class since it was very hard, and there was no room to make mistakes.

I got my registration date too. Woo, my mom said it was an early one(it should be because I've completed 3 semesters already!). The problem is picking out the classes. The maximum number of units a person can take is 20, and I'm having trouble staying in that. I would like to take Biology, Conservation Biology, Chem 101, Math, and English....and micro...and other ones...lol....I'll just have to see what's available when registration roles around.

I miss school already. It sucks. If I didn't have to get my driver's license I'd be taking summer classes. S:

How did everyone do this semester/year?

 • I should preface this by saying I tend to make horrible grades and ace finals without studying - I failed high school and got a GED because of how far my English grade had slipped D: This was my first year of college, and it has been a while since I was last in school (starting college at 23 wasn't my game plan, but life has it's ways...).

Anyway, I made seven As, one B, and 2 Cs. One C was in an English class taught by a woman with whom I hope to never have a class ever again, ever. I was excited about learning correct grammar but unfortunately she taught me nothing except her political viewpoints. I'm still bitter LOL. It's an interesting experience, fighting horrible study habits and trying to make the best possible grades. It's frustrating, too - I know I'm capable of better D:

I want to go for bio myself - I'm getting my college transfer credits together, and the school I'm at doesn't offer a great many of the subjects I'm most interested in :/

 • You sure have interesting classes! :D You did awesome Sushi!

I dont have final grades but my quarter is:

Algebra 2-A
Photography-A
College 11 English-A
Psychology-A

I dont know my bio grade yet because my teacher is slow putting it in D;

I also only went in to 3 of my exams out of 5. Our grading system is strange. If I had gotten an F or A on one of the exams I didnt go to, my grade overall would not have changed.

So far I got 2 of my exam grades back. Both are As. Im still waiting to get my Bio grade. I just took it today though xD

 • Xaetian - seven As, one B, and 2 Cs are great grade IMO. Lots of people can barely get C's. Uggg, I haaaate teachers that do that. It's not appropriate. I had a bad English teacher in college too. He said kids that wanted A's were selfish or something, so he was only going to give extra credit and extra chances to the kids with C's and lower. I didn't like that he wasn't going to treat everyone the same, and that as an A student I was being looked at as a bad person, so I dropped the class the second day. I'm going to take it online so I don't have to deal with stuff like that.

I'm glad you're not giving up even though it's frustrating. I'm worried about my brother because he has really bad study habits, and almost didn't graduate high school. He starts college in fall, so I hope he get's motivate over the summer. Any tips that I can give him to get him focused?

My college has multiple campuses. The one I live bt offers very little. The school as a whole only appears to have 1 associates degree in science, with the rest being art. I'm trying for the associates, and then I'll transfer to get a bachelors and so on.

tarnish - lol, I have to accumulate 16 credits in law enforcement before I can apply to the California warden program for fish and game. Don't know if I will, but I want to have them in case I do. The other 2 classes were just required classes.

Awesome grades!! Congrats~
That is a weird grading system. I don't know why all places don't just do it "so many point out of so many points" style. Like 436/500 total for the semester or something. It would be much easier.

I hope you get a good grade on your bio exam :D

 • if he's serious about doing well in college, one of the most effective ways for him to do well is to make sure he doesn't overload himself and to "retrain" how his bran works based on a rewards system. Making sure he has everything clearly written down and a concise game plan is important, too. I often have to hit the ground running because I neglected to think of how much work would be involved in a project and that "I have plenty of time to do it, there's no reason to do it right now!" It's hare, especially when you have so many other cool things to do, like games lol.
Can't tell you how many times he's said then, and then been up all night before school trying to finish some huge project.

Whateve ryou wanted. You just read for about 45 mintues, then for 5 minutes you wrote about the book you had been reading.
And you got extra credit for reeading outside of the class.
So I had like a 114.
 • I wanted to be a CSI or work at a BAU at one point, but I knew law enforcement would have bored me although I find it interesting, I would have failed miserably and I would have had to go into Police work...so I just stuck to watching the shows. XD
Good job on the grades though. :3
I believe my cousin is going to be a CSI, but I'm not sure if she changed her mind. She just got her bachelors, and is going into medical school.
I found both my law classes, really fun, but stressful. You have to remember the penal codes, all subsections of them, and their punishments. It was a lot of work, but I learned lots of interesting things.
Thank you~

 • ...I passed. We'll put it this way: I passed my classes with two B's and two C's, I believe. Had I not had a horrible grade in English and math the first quarter, I'd have an A in both classes.

 • It sounds like you're being hard on yourself. B's and C's are not bad. B's alone are above average!

 • NotaMallard - Good job!! The A's and B are very impressive, but you can't be perfect in everything. I more than understand the problem with sucky teachers. My mother has gotten a few, and it was horrible.

Breeding - Wow! Amazing! You did fantastic. What is weighted/unweighted? Is that the overall(all years) GPA, or do they only count the core classes when it's weighted? I remember hearing it so much, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was.

Unweighted is the gpa of just your grades. Weighted is when certain classes are harder so the grades arn't suppose to be as high as normal classes so they get more "weight" causing the gpa to go up.
