Ducks are GROSS! Do not get them and keep them in the house. Worse mistake ever. They're all in a medium sized dog carrier right now and it has to be cleaned constantly. The ducks try to bathe in the waterer and dump food everywhere. Mix that with the poo and it's a total mess. Honestly, I'd be better off keeping them seperate.

They would be outside if the weather would stay warm. But it's far too cold right now to keep them outside. In my years of keeping poultry, I can honestly say that this is the first and last time I'll ever keep birds in the house. lol

My grandma almost got some that's why I asked.
I don't see ducklings in my future. XD
I remember my uncle had 2 regular yellow ones - but only thing I remember was us releasing them back into the wild and keeping them in a box when they where babies.

I've heard the big white ones can be okay house ducks if you put bird diapers on them. That's just what I've heard. All the ducks I've had and been around were reaaallly messy. I like their personality though.

Duck #2 looks like the duck I had. Very cute~
I'm done with VP. I'll just be around until I get all my dogs and lines placed in good hands. If you want to contact me, please do so through deviantART.
Wow, what sweeties. 8DD Are you going to keep them when they turn into roosters and chickens? Someone I knew had two chicks and boy weren't they surprized to discover chicks aren't like hampsters, the like evolve into giant clucking...things! D8

OHPLEASEDON'TMAKECHICKENNUGGETS!

If I had a chicken, I'd name is Pachulli. I just like that as a name. Alas, I live in a teeny, weenie apartment with two boring old cats.
@Sushi: I know someone who has a Pekin as a house pet. She even sleeps in the couple's bed. She wears a bird diaper thing. lol Mine will NOT be staying in the house though.

@Chibi: Don't worry. These guys are pets. There is no way that they'll be made into chicken nuggets. lol They aren't my first birds either. Quite honestly, I like the big birds best. I had show birds in the past. They were Cochins (my favorite breed.) I hope to get some of mine back from my friend soon.
Well, no photo update, but my babies are growing up! They're getting their big bird feathers in right now and just look goofy. They all have names now.

Golden Comet: Ophelia
Rhode Island Red: Seamus
Meat Pen: Whitey (aka Fatty)
Blue Swedish: Yakky
Black (unknown breed): Daffy/Donald (gets called both)

The meat pen is getting HUGE. He's bigger than the other two chicks put together and they aren't even a month old yet. Seamus is still pretty. Ophelia is a very pretty, curious girl and still my favorite.
