The pageant is -tomorrow-. For those of you who don't know, I'm being guilted into a pageant. Long story. Anyways, I'm freaking out. Any tips on how to curl hair that won't curl for -anything-?

  • I heard using a straightening iron like a small one works good for ringlets

It kind of worked for me... My hair never curls either >.<

  • xD Use a curler, and just drench it in hair spray ;D

Mine doesnt stick unless I spray it, and use Mousse and all that other fun "hold it all day" stuff.

Mine also doesnt stay straight unless i do that. My hair isn't very cooperative.
All good things must come to an end. All endings will begin new good things.

  • My hair is naturally curly, so it holds really well when I curl it, but I still follow techniques in order to make it stay perfect all day.

It could be damaging to your hair(it's fine for just once in awhile if your careful), but if you really want curls to stick then you should lightly spray your hair before curling it, pin then up to set, and then spray them again once you have styled them. I did this for my graduation, went to bed, and my hair still looked great the next day.
I'm done with VP. I'll just be around until I get all my dogs and lines placed in good hands. If you want to contact me, please do so through deviantART.
  • O_O It's today. Just got my nails done. Starting on hair next. 7 hours until I have to BE there.

  • Ohman. I use so much hair spray, I'm the reason for the oozone layer's depeletion. lol. xD

Curling, hm...Just use a curling iron and when you use the hair spray, you'll be able to shape any unperfect curls.

For some strangely odd reason, I thought that said...."I'm pregnant" xD

My mom is hair stylist, so what Sushi said about the spraying it before you curl and then spray it after is a good technique. I use that method because I have REALLY straight hair...flat as a board. It use to be so bad I couldn't curl it all with tons of hairspray.

Anyways, if you have the chance use Aveda products, expensive. But, they last a while and they work really well.
