Pretty cool; but GIMP is better, just to let ya know. xD You can get exactly what you want with it... and it has more effects that you wouldn't have to pay for - unlike picnik. I, myself, find picnik "unprofessional" and plain; but it all depends on your point of view and how you work the website.

wanna know my secret, all my layout graphics are finished on picnik. Picnik does have good finishing touches for pictures (:

yeah! I would never like make a nice nice banner on picnik cus it is really limited but things like effects and tinting are much faster there. and - to everyone - I'd rather have crit on my creativity and work then on picnik. lol

urgh. to put it bluntly, piknik is like photobucket, and no, GIMP has far more capabilities. GIMP, if used properly, can be absolutely phenomenal. Look for Argonautica's works, and you'll see exactly what I mean, as, everything she makes is made with GIMP

wow! okay I understand I probably shouldn't have said that. i love GIMP, it's amazing, and yes it does more than picknik. I was lazy, I like how picnik edits photos and all - this was just a photo not like a whole banner project thing. Apparently I should refrain from posting picnik here any longer since it seems to be useless. Sorry to have bothered everyone.

oh dear, I meant nothing like that, I'm just saying its one of the lower quality image editors, especially when a bunch of effects and stamps are just vomited onto the photo one is editing, with mad exposure or contrast tweaks. GIMP is actually quite good, so anyone working with that shouldn't give up hope, and just keep improving. There are graphics and resource boards that offer tutorials, etc :]

I agree with Rohesia... I didn't mean to criticize the site. I was just letting you know that GIMP does do more things. Sorry if you took it the wrong way... I was only trying to guide you towards what I use, I guess, because it works best for me. But, yeah, go ahead and do whatever it is you like best.

It's you making the banners/photos, not me... like I said, though, I was only trying to help... I'm really sorry it got taken the wrong way.

By saying this I aknowledged GIMP does more, and that it is better - I'm in no way giving up, and I always use it for banners - cept for these two. I basically just thought the picture was cool, the contrast was cool, and the coloring worked out cool. I made it black and white, and then dyed my eye green, uncovered the wall (which is green), and tinged the whole thing slightly orange. I just thought it looked kind of awesome and you'd like to comment. I've seen much less-well-finished things that people try to be positive about. I'm not saying it's great or I deserve praise - but this has nothing to do with the program, in my opinion. If everyone hated my work I'd understand that. But no one has even mentioned it. Thanks...

Sorry. xD I get caught up in my own mumbo jumbo when I mention GIMP. It's annoying sometimes. Anyway, I would like to comment on your work; I was just making sure you didn't think I was totally against you using picnik or something first. It'd be easier for me to comment on it if I saw the original photo.

But as far as what I can see right now (and I'm not just seeing, I'm LOOKING

), I like the photo placement - how it shows only part of your face. And btw, I had no idea it was you until you said it - that makes it all the more cool! I would've recommended you use two unsimilar fonts to add more varitey to the photo. So where it says, "Don't just see --" it should be a boring, plain font and then where it says "LOOK" it should be an awesome, crazy, stand-out font -- to really catch the viewer's interest. Know what I mean? ...that's just my opinion. Btw, you have a very pretty... eye. xD
