Suddenly I Have a Craving For.....

......Riding! That's it, Horse-Back-Riding. :shock: I started taking lessons a couple years ago. Last year I switched farms, and I didn't like it as much as my other farm, but I knew it was best because the lessons were private rather then the old one which one like a dozen people in a class....blah blah blah.... :roll: ..... .....And, it was winter, and it was cold, and I just didn't feel like doing it. So I quit. And I promised myself it would just be for the winter. Wrong! A year passed......And now, here I am, having a craving for riding. Unfortuanly, we cannot afford lessons right now.

Fortunatly, a friend of ours has a horse, and may be willing to let my ride him!

He is an X-Race Horse. I believe he is around nine or ten years old. His full name is Better Than Tylenol, but everyone calls him Ty. I think he is a bay color with a black mane and tail. I might be able to ride him tommorow! But......I'm not positive yet, she's going to give me a call. I want to so bad.......or else I think I may burst! Ty.....You shall soon be mine!!! :twisted: OK....thanks for letting me have a little weirdo moment there.......Now. Has anyone else ever had a craving this bad? :?:

and ya know. two of the times were for mi birthday.. >.< I want to go soo bad, I even have the money-except he's a lazy ass and doesn't want to drive me there, even though his company owns the car and pays for the gas. >.< and he doesn't want to pay for someone else to go with me..even though I already told him that I have no problem going alone or with one of the guides. x.x

That stinks. I love riding. I've quit Gymnastics, ballet, and soccer, but riding is the one thing I really want to get back into. I remember when I did soccer or dance I never wanted to get up and go to practice. It was never like that with riding.

if someone told me that I had to give up VP or graphics and I could get mi own horse and ride it whenever I wanted.. I think I would do it.. and I don't think anyone knows how much VP and graphics mean to me.

It's eight am here and she hasn't called yet. That's understandable, because she had a horse show yesterday and probably didn't want to call first thing in the morning today. I hope she calls soon, and says "Go ahead, come on over!"

No riding for me today.

It's quarter after four, and she still hasn't called.

And there's no way I can go during dinner time or late at night. On Wedensday I start school. I really hope I can do regualar riding when school comes.

My dad is terrified of me getting on a horse ;-; He's seen so many of his friends killed by them that he won't let me ride. I sat at the stables near my house for ever, watching people ride... Learning how to ride. Until finally, one of the ex employees that worked there, let me up on this beautiful mare named Maggie. And I could ride... Without a lesson in my life ;] And mom watched me ride. And yeh. Drives me insane. Because I wanna freeking ride. -_-

OK...that part about your dad's friends is kinda scary.....but I won't think about it. :shock: Good news! My mom said I could think about lessons again! So I just e-mailed the lady from the farm I rode at!

I think the only reason I liked my old farm better was because there was so many horses and you always got a different one and yeah. But when I think about it, the lessons were taught be teens who just goofed around, their was like ten or more people in a lesson, and the horses weren't well taken care of. At this other farm the horses are beautiful, there's a great instructor, and there's only two people in a lesson. Plus it's pretty cheap. Yea!

Really? The farm I'm going to offers leasing, and I was thinking I'd lease a horse if I saved up and really got into riding. Do you know how much it cost on average? (How much are you leasing yours for?)

Well, it really depends on the leaser and the leasee. I had her on free lease for awhile because I knew the girl. (Free lease meaning I didn't charge her to ride, but she had to pay Vet, farrier, board, etc.) But now she's $300/mo. And the girl doesn't pay anything else. She can event her at her own expense and uses her own tack. I'd say I'm pretty cheap tho. When I leased, it was $400/mo. And I had to pay board. Partial leases (you ride 1-3 days a week) can be cheaper though... Like $150/mo?

Ah! My dad talked to the lady on the phone! I'm going to go riding every saturday! (I'm 95% sure.) Last time I rode there I rode this absolutly beautiful horse named Cosmo, Cos for short. When ever I led him into the barn I'd hear "Oh, you were riding Cosmo, he's the king!" I hope I get to ride him again. But, there was also this beautiful palimino named Cloudy that I want to ride.

I'm so happy!!!!
