So, I know there's a movie coming out in November featuring the date 2012. Supposedly, that's when the world ends according to the Mayan calendar. It stops there, and so far, the Mayan calendar has never been wrong. These types of stuff interest me so much xDD I'm a little dork. xP But like the movie Knowing, that was pretty cool.

Anyways, I don't know if this is religion or not, but does anyone believe in the date 2012? xD I don't know if I do, it's just that this topic is pretty interesting to me.. xD Was just bored so I decided to post this. xD

I thought the Mayan calendar ended in 2011. xD And really.. If you "predict" something.. EVENTUALLY it will happen, its like saying its going to snow in the future, If you predict something general enough it will happen. IE my snow.. I didn't say when; or where, or how much. Also, didn't they Mayans get killed off by the Spaniards or something? Maybe they just didn't make it farther because they were killed.

xD Nope, it's 2012. xD & no, actually, the Mayans just left their civilization. They just walked away from their cities, and no one knows where they went.

If I remember correctly, the calender never ends, it eventually just repeats itself. I do believe in stuff like that, but, not in the world ending or whatever. I find stuff like this really cool, but I am a skeptic.

Hm. I think I believe in this theory. Some skeptics say that what does the end of a calendar mean? A new year. So they think that it just repeats itself, like you think. I think that's true, too, so I guess I'm a skeptic. xD Heehee sap, I find stuff like this really cool, too. It interests me too much. xD

I believe it's a religion thing. No one will ever know when the world will end. Or if the world will ever end. I believe in things to a point. The ending of the world is the point in which I stop believing.

Scientifically the world will end eventually because of the life cycle of the sun. When it dies, it will expand burning/crushing the earth; but that won't happen for millions possibly billions of years. Or I just take over the world. Whichever comes first.

Wasnt the world supposed to end in 2000? Something about the computers were gonna explode or something? And wasnt it supposed to end on 6-06-06? The point being, people have been predicting the end of the world ever since there have been people on the world. I dont believe it will end. But I could be wrong. We cant see the future so who knows what will happen? Lets just live every day to the fullest, the world could end tomorrow.

I thought the knowing had a great plot if they would have done the movie better. the movie itself was ridiculous. It was like ughh it really made me mad. -vent over about that- but nope i don't think the world will end in 2012 i just think the Myans got tired of writing their calender =D

Just the bread crumb trail was really dumb, the rocks made no sense being there yenno? And then the alien space ship, really? the mom dying and then the white rabbits? Everything bugged me lol I mean the finding the scroll of numbers and all was awesome, but the rest of the movie... not so much lol

people predict the worlds gonna end about every 3 years.. we talk about it in science. lol, another reason people say that is going to end is because of that thing deep down in the crust, where they were going to collide two particles or something. one of my friends said that she had a friend who's dad worked for the government and he found papers saying that it went wrong and we are all gonna die in 2012 :roll: i had a lauging fit at this because it wasnt even turned on.. and if it was and did go wrong then we went die much much sooner.. what a bucket of lies. lol

Well, assuming that I'm graduating in 2012-the damn world had better not end! :shock: I would be pissed beyond beliefe. xD I haven't seen Knowing yet.. o.0 I'm kinda po'd about that too. >.Come to think of it..I now have an urge to go do major research on the mayans. -.-; Thanks.. xD

I am also graduating in 2012 >_> This displeases me, but who knows maybe the Mayans are right. Maybe they're not right. I guess we'll just find out in 2012. I think the movie trailer for 2012 looks awesome thought. Kind of sent shivers down my spine x3

I -think- its actually that the world will have a great enlightening or something, not that it will actually end. Heh. 2012 is an election year. Maybe some major political and economic changes in the US, affecting other countries? (Hopefully some societal changes too!)

I don't believe this, no one really knows when the world is gonna end. I'm not going to get into Christianity and all that because it isn't allowed. But, if it did end...I would be so MAD! I wasted all that time in school and I graduate this January. >.>

I don't think it's supposed to end... What I was told is that it's supposed to have so many natural disasters (tornados, hurricanes, tsunamis, etc.) that the world might as well have ended... o_O But... I have no clue. xD I don't listen in Science and my dad talks too much about how you can't predict the end of the world. -rolls eyes- There seems to be A LOT of predictions for 2012. Hehe. But I agree with ma fatha' =P

To be truthfully honest, I don't know much about the Aztecs or the Incas....I just remember when I heard about the Mayan calendar and I was looking on the internet and finding everything I could about them. Unfortunately, the stupid people destroyed most of the books from them and not a single Mayan remains. Plus the very few books that were left were written in symbols and stuff by those ppl so now we can't find out anymore info....which sucks!
