D: it's suppose to be a horse..

Ok, so I should post this in mi dump, but I'm still looking to fix somethings, so Ima just let it have it's own post. ^^ (psst-it's special xD ) I haven't attempted to draw a horse in..like forever, and this is what it's come out as: just the sketch::: <img src="http://i28.tinypic.com/2r3hy4h.jpg"; alt="http://i28.tinypic.com/2r3hy4h.jpg"; class="bb-image" /> Lined and somewhat ready to colour::: <img src="http://i28.tinypic.com/14io2g1.jpg"; alt="http://i28.tinypic.com/14io2g1.jpg"; class="bb-image" /> I know the lines are shaky..but that would be because I'm using a mouse and I'm a little shaky miself from lack of sleep for the past..4-5 days. :shock: Ok, so I need major crit because I'd like to start drawing horses -and- canines. ^^ And just because I need to expand mi abilities. -nods- And-and-be harsh!

I need it.

crit?!? Hooowww? :shock: Tis' one schmexy horse, love. Ooh, I found something -is proud- the hooves are a wee bit large.. You might want to scale those down or make the horse a little bigger xD The style's really cute, but there are a few proportion issues... eek. Sorry if this is really knit-picky, but overall it's freaking amazing. So I kinda have to be knit-picky in order to actually help xD I'm thinkin this 'horse' is lookin more pony-ish, so <a href="http://www.bigskygypsy.com/Images/fell pony stallion.jpg" target="_blank" class="bb-url">here</a> is a pretty standardly built pony to help you! :] AAAND, close your eyes! This is an amazingly drawn horse

The stockyness is perfect if you are going for a draft type horse. If you are going for more of a rac horse type it need longer legs and smaller hooves as Andrea pointed out. Although with the tail, if you are going for an Arabian look, then your tail is perfect. Arabians hold their tails high. Quarter horses let their tails slightly flow over their rump. The neck was good but as Andrea said if you're going for a certain style the neck would be longer. There does need to be a little more muscle behind his shoulder as Andrea said

also i almost dropped my laptop while looking at your picture and if i tilt my screen at a certain angle there is the outline of another drawing. It looks like a shirtless man, with wings, and cat ears maybe?? If you have this drawing could i see it? it looks really good =D

xD actually I do. o.0 I thought I saw the outline too. lmao. I'll pm ya it when I get around to scanning it Moon. ^^ Andi, thank you. I was going for a Draft/Arabian cross, so I'm guessing it was pretty good? maybe? I was wondering about the muscles for the front leg. -nods- I guess that's what it was missing. xD I'll try and post a pic of the two horses I was looking at last night when I was drawing him.

actually, I may post that guy on here too. I need major redline for his hands. xD

I think if you're trying to develop a style, leave the hooves as is. Make them yours ; )

For a Draft/Arab cross it's PERFECT! -I still think the hooves need to shrink xD- But that's a personal thing. Like lolo said, the hooves add a little flair and make him stylized looking :] So keep 'em if that's gonna be your style! I'd buy a commish from you *hint hint* :roll: The only reason I saw "pony" was because the body is shortish. But overall, I think it's UH-MAZ-ENG and you needs to draw for Andi :] -just adds some muscle tone b'hind his shoulder ;] - LOVE LOVE LOVE This horse

yay! -wiggleslikecrazy- I'm really surprised it's come out so good for over a year (I think) of not drawing a horse/pony. and now that ya mentioned it..it does kinda look almost exactly like a fell pony..

I love the colors you chose

but the shading looks a little rough, instead of more soft shadowlike..do you get what I mean there or should I explain? xD
