Ability to close accounts to others

Like VHR where you can choose if others can view your account or not, I think that this ability should be added for a number of reasons: a) if you get tired of having to delete bids than you can simply close the account to public eyes and no one can view it b) if you are working on a particular breed that you don't want others to bother you for pups of c) if you simply do not want to be bothered period and on and on Also, if you vote no explain yourself as it is simply rude not to explain why you think that this opinion should not be added

Same here, that's one of the reasons I want this... it's annoying to get messaged espiecally when the message is just to say "hi"

I don't like it If someone blocks it so everyone can't see it, then the people that aren't obnoxious get the bad part of it, i like to be able to see other peoples kennels, and i don't want to have to ask myself everytime i'm about to look at a kennel, if the person even lets people look at there kennel. maybe it would be bettter if you could just block out certain people like in msgs with an ignore list

I dont mind people asking about training and stuff but if they're gonna waste my time to say 'hi' or 'hoo r u????' or 'how much is your dog' when its not for sale, that stuff drives me crazy :?

On VHR it just keeps you from showing up in search... So if the person already has your link they can message you, is that what you were talking about Brun?

Toni, a vast majority I am betting whom would like this ability added are sponsers and generally sponsers happen to be on the forum. So you can message the person through that means. Besides, if the person gives the link of an animal you are still capable of messaging the dog's owner even if the ranch is blocked off in regards to VHR. Simply when you click on the person's name you are unable to view the ranch itself. For example this is a link to a horse from a blocked ranch. <a href="http://www.virtualhorseranch.com/viewhorse.php?horse=605050"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">http://www.virtualhorseranch.com/viewho ... rse=605050</a> You can still message the owner through the Send Owner a Message button however you will not be able to view the ranch - so if you were to click on Azrael Daemonus you'd get a statement saying that the kennel is private and nothing else. If the person blocks the kennel, than you simply message them and/or ignore them... I am looking for a kennel block ability simply to get dogs I don't want others to see away from the public eye - I'd still keep my main kennel open.

I voted "no" just because I don't think it is that big of a deal. Sure, I get multiple messages every day on each one of my three sponsor accounts for people requesting training, or wanting to buy a dog, or just saying "hi", but it only takes two seconds to click "delete" and we do have that new multiple delete option. I don't even bother answering these messages back, I just delete them if what they say doesn't interest me. Same thing I do with spam in my regular e-mail accounts. By doing this, my account is still viewable to the general public and serious requests can still get through to me. Maybe a better option would be something like a "back kennel" or something. Where you can "hide" specific dogs (breeds, colors, studs) from prying eyes without blocking the whole VP population from even viewing your kennel. Just my opinion

Wasn't the "hide" idea suggested a couple of months ago? It sounds very familiar to me. Anyways, okay, maybe the "hide" opinion would be better

Oh heck no..do you realize the carnage this would cause for rescues? It'd be just another way to abandon your dogs for a year and make sure they weren't rescued. It's not a big deal, hit the ignore and delete the messages.
