This is the official Giftie Reduction Project of VP. It's much like the mutt reduction project Ru started a while back, but I have a feeling this one will catch more attention. For those of you confused about what a 'giftie' is, it's a dog with a personal color. Most people keep their gifties rare, but sometimes they get out to the public, and in no time a 3 of a kind giftie shoots up to 100, 200, as many as 700 of the color. Once a color gets that high, it may as well not even be a giftie anymore. It's just another color. We're here to fix that. This will take the efforts of many people, but it shouldn't be too hard to do if we get enough people willing to help. ___________________________________ Donations. We are open to take any donations. What do we need donations for? VPC - Buy gifties that may be fore sale. Dogs - Possibly trade for any gifties. Training - Possibly trade for any gifties, or to earn VPC to donate. Art/Graphics/Layouts - Possibly trade for any gifties, or to earn VPC to donate. (We will probably be opening a GRP post in General Services, more details on that coming soon.) All donations will be put in ONE kennel. If you are donating VPC, send it in a contract to Kaylee Rae and BE SURE to put 'GRP DONATION' in the contract notes! We will take any donations, as small as you want or as big as you want, it's all appreciated. If you are donating dogs, please PM links to this forum account and we will bid on them promptly from Kaylee Rae. If you are donating trainings, please PM us your kennel link and playername. ALL color suggestions will be added to this list, but we will only be working on 3 colors at a time, starting with the most overpopulated and going down. Blue Nose - 747 red w/ bloody fangs and black wings - 716 Blue w/ blue flaming paws and tail - 416 Cherry Blossom - 410 Chestnut with Snowflake Markings - 365 Purple with Silver eyes - 296 gray swirls w/ blazing eyes n dripping fangs - 243 iPod Nano - 241 Halo w/ misty eyes w/ light blue w/ angel wings - 194 Pink - 175 Red Nose - 141 The colors highlighted in blue are the ones we will currently be working on. Keep checking back so you know when it changes. PM all color suggestions to this forum account. They will be added to the list as we get them. When you send colors, please inclue the number of the color as well. ___________________________________ How? Rescue kennels have a pretty big leg up with this project, just search the color and see if you can rescue any. If you find a dog of the color for sale, please PM the link to this forum account. If you know the owner of a dog, ask if they would sell it/trade it for a dog we have in the kennel. When you acquire any of these dogs, if it is a decent dog, just give it a color change, neuter it, and put it up for sale. If it really isn't worth much and can be released, just release it. It's deleting the dog anyway. If the dog can be retired, neuter it, color change it, and retire it. Otherwise you can contact us and we can train it and resell. people can search retired dogs, so really the dogs will never be gone. but the color can be gone if we change it. Edit; although of course it is your choice.

If you are releasing the dog, if the dog can be released, anyway, just neuter and release. If you can't release but can retire, change the color, neuter and release. Keep track of how much you spend though, so we can reimburse you if you'd like it. If it can't be released or retired, contact us here with the link(s) and we'll get it's color changed, trained, and sell it for a profit.
