I do Professional Photography and I swear by Canon.

Kodak is also ok.
It depends what you want it for.

Pro-pictures go with Canon or Nikon.
Just for fun, Hanging out with friends, Go Kodak.

It is all in opinion really.
Nikon and Kodak are durable cameras.

Canons are expensive, and most are large.

My opinion. lol
Kodak ARE really durable.. I had one once and I left it out in the rain overnight and it still worked, lol. GE has alright cameras. They're not well known for making them but pretty much every GE camera I've seen has worked good.

Nikon and Canon are the best, in my opinion.. they're just really expensive. :P

Taken with a GE camera (sorry it's so big and turned the wrong way):
http://i44.tinypic.com/k4w8i1.jpg
I used to have a kodak until a kid at school broke my LCD screen it still works just can't see what your taking pictures of. My mom has now gotten me a Cannon camera from her work I personally hate it but don't have the heart to tell her. The Kodak I used to have is the older version of the one Dusty posted
