I wouldn't name him yet...
First I'd put up "Found" posters about him or check into your local pound and ask if anyone's looking for him before you decide to keep him...

What if someone is badly missing him?

Yeah, me too. I lost my 6-year-old cat when I was about ten...
and if someone ever found her and kept her, they don't know how much pain they've caused me...

Which is why it's always greatly appreciated if you find a pet and are able to return it to it's real owner. Right?

Just make sure to do all you can before deciding to keep & name him. Someone that loves him very much might be missing him...
He spent the night last night and he's still here.
We decided to call him Mickey for the time being so we didn't have to go "Hi, kitty, kitty! Hi buddy! Hi kitteh!!"

Haha
Have you tried to find his owner yet?

He's such a pretty baby. (:

No, because if he had an owner he'd go home, correct?
I know how it feels, but when we found him he was skin and bones and he's spent the night on the porch twice in a row and I'm pretty sure hat if someone was missing him they'd do something about it.

I sound pitiful.
You should probaly waunder around you naighborhood with a description of him and see it anyone knows anything about. just don't take a picture around with you becuse if someone seems intrested like it's their cat they should be able to describe it.

he is cute. my most resent cat was found outside. i had to walk around like i just desribed. and i found out stuff about ther that i never knew. it turned out she was abounded by her owners when they moved becuse she was prego.
Because he wanted to be on the porch. There's cushioned seats and carpet, and I didn't think it would be a big deal.
He wasn't allowed inside because males spray to mark their territory and my sister and dad are very allergic.. :?
Oh. Strays only stay when you feed them and stuff.
I've seen about 5 strays in my backyard. But my dog kept chasing them away >.<
I'm pretty sure one of them was a lost one in the paper someone was looking for.
I felt really bad.
Yeah I know.
I don't really like to leave cats outside cause I heard alot of stories
of them getting hit by cars or running away.
That's why I'm glad my cat's afraid of outside.
I'll never have to worry about him somehow escaping and something happening.
i really hope he went back to his owners. my cat just went missing and has been gone since last night. and if it were anyone ther cat i wouldn't worry but my cat NEVER stays out more then a night and ALWAYS comes home in the morning if he gets stuck outside. i sure hope no one has taken him in or that he is not hurt.
