Rude Teachers

I play the drums in band and today i miscounted the beats in a band song we were playing when i had a "solo". My teacher flipped out on me. In front of about 40 kids in my band class my teacher embarrassed me. He began to tell me how the more he thinks about it the more he thinks i shouldn't be in the concert and he should let the other boy play snare alone. All the people fell silent. I hate him so much for embarrassing me. After class people came up to me and told me how sorry they felt for me and that it was really rude of him and he was a jerk. The thing is, i hate playing the drums. I never want to play again and next year i wont have to (im doing art =]) I wanted to say to him "well then don't make me play" but being the quiet person i am, i just turned bright red. He is so annoying, i hate when teachers embarrass you in front of everyone :evil:

I have about... 1, 2, 3, 4... 5 teachers in total at my school that are like that. Come to think of it, I bet 95% of all my teachers in my school are like that. Fortunately (well, it can be unfortunate sometimes), I'm not shy and I speak my mind. I have a lot of problems with my P.E. teacher, who is sexist (hates girls), thinks girls are useless, and because I am not athletic, he picks on me. Example: "Your shoes are untied" - PE teacher. I'm wearing my loose, comfortable Vans shoes. "I can't tie them, the laces are too long... I'll trip. I just stick the laces in my shoes." "Then sit out." Meanwhile, my best friend, standing beside me, had loose, untied shoes. He saw, too. :x Plus, he's told me I use my asthma as an excuse to take so many breaks. Well, um, if I didn't have asthma, I'd be out having fun and playing my favorite sport, you idiot. :roll: Teachers are just like that because they're sick of all the kids who don't behave. I don't think a band teacher should be so... so... 'perfect', though. If you lose track of your beats or whatever, he should ask you to try again and again until you master it for the concert! It's not like you want to be there anyways, and he must make it worse...

I had a swim instructor, and today I was supposed to do a demonstration for 2 kids who couldn't do straight head first surface dives. Well, low and behold, I messed up going in, and made mine diagnal too! SHE FLIPPED! I was like, sorry if I messed up going into the dive and couldn't correct it. UGH!

Our band teacher is nuts. We call him "Chrom Dome" ('nough said right?). Anyways I only played for him a year because he would like, "drop" his pencil infront of the female flute players and all this other stuff. He puts the most immature people on the drums and then gets mad like the other students put them on drums, not himself. I only played for him one year, tanked my last playing test too (63 was my report card grade). Now he doesn't talk to me. He said we were immature -.- I have a sexist gym teacher too, except she absolutely loves girls and with the exception of these 3 teachers pets (really the only way to describe them) the guys drive her nuts. Not like they make it easy for her to like them but still. She is a very maternal woman and she calls us her little chickens and stuff like that but still. I'm the only (and this is a quote, not my words) normal girl in the class because I'm not obsessed with all the girly things. Thats why I see their point of view with this teacher. But whatever. We just have her next year for like, one class.

I think my math teacher became a teacher to make kids' lives miserable. She cares about the stupidist things. Like, she doesn't want people to write on the back of a piece of paper, she gets mad if the holes are on the wrong side of the paper, and if you do something in pen, she makes you do it all over again in pencil. One time she was teaching us something new and it was the end of class and she was rushing, (she always lets us out late :x ) and she asked if we understood. The majoraty of the class said no, and what does she do? She assigns it for homework! Whatever. I think some teachers embarrass kids in front of the class to teach them a lesson, but I don't think they should. Some teachers just shouldn't be teachers at all. :roll:

That is a good..fantastic..point. I agree so much with you. and everyone. It isn't fair when teachers do that. Like. What if a student did that to a teacher? How would they feel. The same as we feel when they embarrass us. It's sickening, really. :roll:

I had a band director one year that was engaged and stared at girls chests when he talked to them, Then i had an athletic coach that embarrassed me on my 16th b-day because i am not the most physically fit girl, and my legs dropped on 6inches after like 3minutes straight, and then let a girl yell across the whole weight room that i was lazy and didn't want to do anything when i worked harder than any of them...

I know what you mean. Like gosh, some need to loose their own stinking jobs. They always talk about students at lunch. A few of mii teachers love me & we dance & sing together

At my school there are 2 gym teachers, and they each have a few favorite students who never play and always have a 100 average. The principal is the worst though. She has a vendetta against any students who aren't preppy(i.e. my friends). She hates me, and when my bf swore at her when he was telling her to stop harrassing me she tried to have him arrested. The thing is she has sworn at a few of my friends before, but nobody does a thing about that.

It's a classic case of Higher ups disregarding younger people. All adults do it ALL the time. Doesn't matter who it is.
