My Victims [Dogs, Cats, Ferrets, and more]

The following animals are victims of Anastasia. They lead horrible lives full of food, exercise, discipline, toys, and worst of all, love.

;}

One thing, all pictures are owned by me and cannot be used by anyone else without permission. Got her from a no-kill shelter (who treated her poorly) after volunteering there for two months.

She has some sort of skin problem or allergy (not mange; tested numerous times). Seems to only happen during cold weather.

Recently shaved her down so she doesn't look as bad. People always think I'm either abusing her or she has mange, so to stop that, I just shaved the problem area. It's actually helped her skin get a lot better, even if she does look a tad stupid. XD

<img src="http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u24/SwiftlyRedtailed/mima.png"; alt="http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u24/SwiftlyRedtailed/mima.png"; class="bb-image" />

<a href="http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u24/SwiftlyRedtailed/mimeinvp.png"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">Mimi & Einstein
<a href="http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u24/SwiftlyRedtailed/mimi5.png"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">Mimi in the snow
* A little blurry.

Einstein

Technically Einstein belongs to my mother, which doesn't really bother me much. She's a purebred American Eskimo, standard size. One of the best dogs I've ever worked with; only vice is that he's anxious near small animals. I knew she was making a mistake by getting a dog, and she proved me right. She thought even walking him was too much of a hassle because she'd rather play Wii Fit to get her exercise. :roll:

After the abuse ("play", as they call it) that Levi suffered in the entire 1 1/2 months with her, he's now handshy. On multiple occasions I've seen her boyfriend grab Levi by the neck, twist it, and get on top of him. Not what you or I would call proper handling of a dog. ><

Anyhow, he's a nice puppy and he fell in "love" with Mimi. :3 It's so sweet because even with just her scent, he'll start wagging his tail really fast. He had separation anxiety the first few days he was here, but now he's adjusted to a regular schedule and he's doing really well with it.

He's such a small dog. I'm not used to short breeds. I can take care of them for other people, but I like big, big dogs. JRTs are too tiny for me.

Harley

My newest addition! I don't know for sure if it's male or female (too young to really tell). He's maybe 4 weeks old (yes, young), and he's a mixed breed. The woman took in 3 rescues, told they were all males, and found out otherwise when two of the "males" had babies. XD

Unnamed, I just got it today. I *think* it's female, not completely sure. My mom said that she noticed Flare's head was of a blue-ish purple color, like she had suffocated to death. I don't know if she would have been stupid enough to just lie there and be squished by Kemo and Zypher.

In a way, I hope it was suffocation because then I won't lose the other ferrets.

Others

My mother and I also own 3 fish tanks (2 community tanks, 1 betta tank), a turtle, and a hedgehog.

Oscar: Turtle, got him Dec 26, I think. His owners didn't want him anymore (she's a model, so didn't want to take him with her all over the place). We paid quite a bit ($150). He's definitely the smelliest small animal I've ever met.

As for the fish, they have no names and I have no pictures of 'em.

<a href="http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u24/SwiftlyRedtailed/normvp.png"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">Norman
<a href="http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u24/SwiftlyRedtailed/oscarvp.png"; target="_blank" class="bb-url">Oscar

So yep. We have a house full of animals of different species, personalities, etc.

Definitely quite a bit of work, as we have to maintain a total of:

1 large 6ft tall/two story ferret cage
1 large, two story hedgehog cage
1 20 gL long turtle tank
1 10 gL long community tank
2 2 gL tanks (1 community & 1 betta)

Not to mention 1 litterbox, 1 cottage (outside house for the dogs, can't keep them inside), etc.

I think we probably spend about $80 or so a month for food (we buy bulk/large containers when possible), maybe $15 a month for cat litter, and probably about $10-15 a month to keep all furry animals on Frontline.

Not that bad at all, in my opinion.

However for some reason I feel like I'm leaving out an animal. I may end up editing this to add another one in. XD I can't even remember what all we own!

- Anastasia

 • The rabbits = <3

Freakin' adorable. ALL of 'em.
 • lol, you'd have to use a forklift to pick Kemo up. He's gigantic, already weighing 4.5 lbs. Zypher only weighs maybe 2lbs, and Flare is probably 1lb or less.

XD

Einstein loves the camera and any/all attention she can get (from those she knows). Mimi is scared to death of the camera though, so she won't stop moving. She's also scared of flies, like the big horsefly things. Bleh.

 • Sonny has a pretty boy face. lol
I love Harley!!!
 • Levi the Jack Russell is adorable. He caught my eye right as I saw him.

I have two medium-big dogs and I am never getting a big dog again o.o I love my own dogs, but littler ones are just more of my interest. Plus, easier to handle if they ever get out of control because they're smaller, in my view.

:D
 • lol. If I walk a small dog, I feel weird. It's just like I'm "just another female" walking with her "precious lil' -enter breed here-". XD Nothing against being female (I'd die if I was a male) or owning a small breed, but something about big dogs/animals makes me happier.

I know it's going to sound bad, but in a way, I like knowing that I can control a big dog or a one ton horse. XD I like knowing that I can be a female who can walk multiple big/strong dogs (Rotties, Pitties, etc.) without being pulled down the street, without losing control, and so on. Out of my entire neighborhood, there's only 1 other person that I've ever seen who's able to make a dog heel by a person's side.

It's actually kind of embarrassing when I see people walking down the street being pulled by pugs, yorkies, jack russells, etc. :P It's even worse when you see these guys who think they're "all that" who get pulled by a 10-25 lb dog. XD

But I see what you mean. It's going to be harder to control a dog fight if it's between two mastiffs than if it was by two yorkies. It'd be harder to pull a Lab off of a person than it would be to pull a Chihuahua off. Easier to fight off an aggressive Pomeranian than to fight off an aggressive German Shepherd. So on and so forth.
