• To stop scamming... people should stop failing for the scams...

If it sounds to good to be true it proably is...
If they ask for your password for anything no.
Always get references from a person for any service...

 • I totally agree. People should deffinatly not give out their passwords or anything like that, and they should use mms in major transactions. But there are a lot of things that don't seem to good to be true that can still be scams. And it really isn't right that some serial scammers just get suspended for a while, then get to come back on and keep scammming.

Then report them again. Eventually, if they don't get the point, they will be permanently banned.

But by no means take matters into your own hand.

If we don't know scamming is going on, how are we meant to deal with it? ;)
 • Would it help if all the people who have been scammed by a person get together and report it?

People who scam should be reported. This kind of thread asking people to post names of "scammers" don't do anything but cause trouble.

What Tara said >.>

People who have been scammed need to keep any messages between them and the 'scammer' and report them into Orbis Worlds. We use Orbis Worlds not because its a pain in the butt, but because it is a site designed to keep all the records of an 'investigation' I s'pose you could say . . .

I am stressing that should you, or any other player, who hears of scammers, not to take action. You will only be getting in the way, and may face serious consequences.
 • Ok. Is it alright to ask around about a person before you make a deal with them, to make sure it is safe?

 • Ask for references from the person if you do not trust them. You can then talk to those references.

If you still think there might be foul play, contact an Op.

But do not go around (BarkPark, Forums, messages, etc) asking if 'so-and-so' has scammed people before.
