I have had three hamsters before this one, but never had this problem.

So...my hamster is an escape artist. I have a cat, and I dont want her to eat him. Well, she hasnt tried to yet, but it could happen.

So this is like the fifth time hes gotten out. The first time I found him, put him back in and thought ''Oh well, I must not have closed the cage all the way.''

He got out again, we bought a new cage thinking the old one wasnt working right anymore (Since its the same one I've had since I got my first hamster)

He got out again, I got him, put him back thinking ''Oh I must not have closed the cage again.'' And then like an hour later he was out again. I put him back in, knowing I had checked the cage last time, and tied the door shut with a breadtie thingy.

Well, somehow he got that off and got out again. This morning. At 4 freaking a.m. My mom is scared to death of rodents. She wakes up to my insane cat trying to get my hamster out from under my bed. A few minutes later she wakes me up and I find him under there and chase him into some stuffed animals, getting him up, putting him back in and going back to sleep. Let me tell you, I do not enjoy being under my bed chasing a psycho hamster at 4 am on a school day/night.

So now Ive got the door tied shut with 4 of those breadtie thingys. Anyone got a better solution?
