We should have a browsing page where you can search any breed for sale- gender, stats, trained, non- trained, for bid, for sale, for stud. If anyone is wondering how the site goes through all of this information, here is how. The owner checks off the information given on the dog's profile. Male, female, trained, un trained, for bid, for sale, for stud, for brood, stats 1x4,2x4,3x4,4x4,5x4 and so on. This can save a lot of time to get to your other work.

To narrow the search by that many things would kill it. The coding is just too complex. Already search offers name, breed, gender, color, for sale/stud/not for sale, and the option to order results in ascending or descending name, price, age. That's plenty.

I agree, however- The coding it takes to train the dogs I personally agree is more than it would take to code over 5x4 under 4x4 and to click FT or NT

Yes, the training code is more complex. But it doesn't slow down the search. Search is already slow enough, we don't want it dead.

I disagree. It is not as slow to click on 4 new buttons. I can code it on my own layout. All I am saying is it won't take long. If it would make you happy, we should do it like VHR. Search by that stuff, and plus, if anyone else disagrees, I can code it myself ;D. This is just my opinion, anyone else who disagrees, I would be happy to explain. You can help me figure out what I don't get too, I am just saying. This is my idea, I like it, I thought of it, done.

I don't like it, the server is slow enough as is... Yes it would be nice, but it'd just make everything run so slow...

I do not know how long you have been playing the game, but when an operator says that it will slow down the game, they know what they are talking about. Adding a code to a layout is sorting though only a few dogs, not all on the game. Have you noticed that breeds with more dogs take longer to search? As said before, more options would slow down the server tremendously.

I agree with Buffy. My computer is slow enough, I dont want to have to wait for 5 minutes just for a few dogs to show up. :?

The coding itself would not be hard, true. What is the problem about adding a search like this is that the server would need to check every single dog on VP. At the time of this post, thats over 570,000 dogs. And then for every limiting criteria, the search would most likely have to check them individually, slowly shortening the list till all dogs listed fitted the criteria. Yes, it would be easy for us to click said buttons. But it would be hell on the server to check every single dog on VP every search someone does. Especially when there's lots of people searching detailed searches on various other dogs at the same time. Better to have a limited search and keep the site itself running quicker and you 'entertained' for hours finding the perfect dog, than to have a search which is easier for you, but slows the site to something that moves slower than a snail. Hope this makes sense

VP is already quick. o.O If we got it any quicker, the game would be too easy and would get boring. Imagine what it would do for rescue kennels alone. Being able to search for higher statted dogs and just looking at them to see if they're rescuable? Psh. I'd rather not. It's a good idea, but not at all appropriate for what the point of the game is. Which is to have fun. And speaking of Rescue Kennels, that would suck a lot of the the fun -IMO, the point of the game- out of the game.

That is fine it is your opinion. My computer is not slow, but yours is. So what, it is my idea and I know it won't really work so stop complaining how it won't work I know it is just a fun idea. btw I know thats an op I am not arguing

You guys, honestly. This is a good idea and I know there would be conciquinces, but, COME ON! We don't need to look on the negitive side, all I wanted was to express my opinion and I am sorry that you guys are worrying about the bad side. No I am not getting upset that you guys keep posting the things that wouldn't work, but seriously. This is where you post your ideas, not where you get crushed. So please, lets all not argue and keep saying 'The site will be slow'. I never really said we were going to do it... I just said what I thought would be kind of cool. I am sorry you guys didn't really like it or shall I say ' Hate The Conciquinces' , but please just look at the bright side. Thanks for viewing though and lets all keep brainstorming!!!!

The thing about posting suggestions is that anyone can comment on them

This has been suggested in the past, and many people would prefer to live without it, as search engines, especially ones with lots of limiting options, slow down the server massively

I think I'm inclined to agree with the mass Majority. it would slow everything down for a lot of people. and it would just make things way to simple. i actually enjoy going through dogs and looking. time consuming yes, but worth it in the long run.

I know it is free for all to comment but what I am saying is, it is just an idea. I know it would slow it down & if I didn't say that already, I am now. I know now how it would make search slower, but this is all it really is- I am just saying it is a cool thing to have, and I know that there are issues on this, so you guys really belive that after all this disagreement that they would honestly add it? No, I don't think so. I am just saying " Hey that would be really cool" So, lets just end this little arguement, starting now ;D
