Another Newbie question ...

I do not mean to be a bore but I have a few questions please. 1. How does one make money. (Note: I'll be raising stats on my dogs BEFORE I breed. So would like an alternate way to raise $ without selling pups, as it will be a while before I do.) 2. I keep seeing dogs that are 4x10 or something like that. What does this mean? 3. I thought I would see the winners/placements of the dogs in the event, or at least mine. Now it is -hours -minutes etc, and still no info on who won. I'm confused. How do events work? When will I know how my dogs placed? Thanks.

1. There are many ways to make money, I joined a little less than a month ago and I've made a fair chunk by: -Competing and -Art 2. __x4 is the number of stats a dog has 4 stars in. My confo goldens are only 1x4s (One stat that has 4 stars), but my lab puppies are 8x4 (eight stats that have 4 stars). 3. Find out what you are good at, really. Try a bit of everyhting: Art, competing, etc. When you are good at what you do, you can make a fair profit

Here are ways to make some moolah: -Neuter your dogs. ($500 for each dog you neuter) -Event Your Dogs -Bet On Dogs In Events -Skill Max Peoples' Dogs. (Skill maxing is discipline, show, sport, and working) -Sell Layouts (Make sure they are your own coding! The site doesn't tolerate stealing) -Sell Banners (Make sure the pictures are royalty free. Try Corbis.com for some stock pictures.) -Sell Art/Graphics (Make sure they were made by you! The site will definitely not put up with art theft) -Sell Your Dogs (Don't be breeding constantly. No one will buy dog with bad stats) **I just copied that from my layout. lol.

The highest you can get on a dog is 4 stars in birth stats. There are 10 things you can get four stars in. If you have 5 out of 6 things that have four stars, you have a 5x4. You can stat max your dogs and the stats will change, but the stars won't. It's just like that. You can have 250 in something and have 1 star, but this dog will still be good to breed. Does that make sense?

Well, the person that threw the event choses when to run it. It can be anytime they want, so you just have to be patient!

But the countdown reached zero. I thought that is when it would run? I guess I was wrong. :?

Nope. They have complete control over it. I once forgot about my events and they went up to -10 days! It all depends n when they decide to run it! :)
