I. Cannot. Sleep! O.O

<span style="font-size:92">It's like 12:35am and I CANNOT SLEEP!<br><br>Usually this is kinda early for me.<br>But not on school nights because I have to get up at 5:30 >.<<br><br>And. I've tried. I really have. But I cannot sleep!<br><br>It's like.. impossible! D:<br><br><br>I need sleep or I will be tired and crabby tomorrow at school.<br>But how do you get sleep...when you CAN'T SLEEP?!<br><br>I have been pacing around the house too D:<br>I dunno what to do ;.;<br><br>Useless vent. Oh well. Meh.</span>

  • <span style="font-size:75">I have insomnia, and sometimes, even if I'm dead exhausted I can't sleep. I have to take medication when I get like that. It's over the counter, however.</span>

  • Eating cereal works brilliant for getting you sleeping. But no apples. <br><br> Also watching the longest boringest looking show on the TV helps big time. :wink: Like watch a huge 4 hour lecture show about Presidents or such. <br><br>Hope that helps a little!

  • lmao.<br><br>I couldn't sleep either. I am used to staying up will 5am-7am. I tried to go to bed at 11pm but I was awake the whole time or in a half sleep.<br><br>And I actually ate cereal xD I was hungry. Then I watched Fresh Prince. hehe

  • I find that doing some puzzles like Sudoko help me fall asleep. <br>Sometimes reading helps, but if it's a good book I tend to stay awake more heh.

  • ive been awake till like 2am for the last week.. but i knows a way to get to sleeps! it only works for some people.. read Jayne Eyre! well, for me that works, or if you like that book, find a really boring one! (i just dont likes that book)

  • That happened to me last night!<br><br>I tried to go to bed at ten, (ha) and then I woke up at 11:45 or so, and I was like.. OH SHOOT, did I sleep late?! It got me confused, but then when I was half sleepling, half galloping to the kitchen, I realized that it was 11:45 at NIGHT. I guess that's what I get for trying to go to bed early :D

    <br><br>Actually, I watched something on TV that said you shouldn't eat or drink before going to bed 'cause it just keeps you up. <br>So does watching TV xDDD, anything that keeps your brain active is keeping you awake. <br><br>I lay on the couch for hours just trying to sleep xD.

  • -Sighs-<br>I can't say I fell asleep when I would have liked to last night xD<br>I went to bed at 10:00 (I am terrible at getting up in the morning... one time I went to bed at 12:00 am, and wouldn't get up until 12:00 pm xD)<br><br>Anyhow, so, I went to bed at 10:00, hoping to get up at 6:30. I tossed and turned until 11:30 (well, that's the last time I dared to look at the alarm clock o.o). I had way too much on my mind x.x About school, a bunch of unneccessary awkwardness, etc, etc (that's not really in topic right now, I am not going to mention it)... and I was excited since my friend had been in Mexico the whole winter break and I was going to see her again ;DDD<br><br>In the morning, I got up at 7:00. Not because I'm lazy and wouldn't get up at 6:30; but because my alarm clock decided to have another one of its stupid technical difficulties and shut itself off (You know, since you have to flick a switch, I'm starting to think it's not turning itself off and perhaps I sleep-walk and turn it off in hopes I won't have to get up in the morning xD)<br><br>Well. Looks like a lot of VP'ians have troubles sleeping.<br>I take Melatonin tablets. They're a natural hormone that controls our 24-hour schedule thing... and they help for jetlag and such. Take one a half an hour before you want to sleep, and VOILA! It relaxes your muscles and makes you somewhat sleepy and helps a lot... Mine tastes like mints xD<br><br>So... yes. And I Have a lullaby. xD It hasn't helped lately, but it has in the past.<br><br>Well. Suggestions ;D

  • <span style="font-size:75"><span style="color:#ff00d2">Wert said it didn't help.. maybe I'm just special. x3<br><br>But watching a movie -always- makes me fall asleep.<br>Only problem is when it wakes me up in the middle of the night, but I can usually fall asleep quickly after turning it off.<br><br>Like.. watching a movie at night when I want to stay up is a hige mistake for me lmao<br>Half an hour into it and I'm gone.<br><br>Dunno if it helps anyone else.. but even in the afternoon it can knock me out for a good 2 hours! XD<br><br>But, not all people have TVs in their room.. so won't help for everyone. o.o</span></span>
