Help with Tablet!

well.. i got a bamboo one tablet for crissmas and i cant really do much good stuff with it.. anyone has some help/tutorials? please! i have photoshop CS3, Gimp 2.6 and ArtRange to work with. :)

    What do you mean what can you do with a tablet?<br>All a tablet does is act as a mouse, but in pen form.

    You can also lower and raise opacity and thickness when drawing, usually by pushing down harder on the tablet. <br>It acts as a mouse, so one click lets you select, hover slightly over lets you move, ect.

    Normally the only programs which let a tablet have full control are ones made for a tablet, but also some versions of Photoshop.<br>I know with PSP you can set the tablets opacity to change with the pressure.

    Keep practicing. When I first got mine 5 years ago (I feel really old saying this ._.), I was really shaky. It'll probably take you about a week or so to get the hang of it.

    <span style="font-size:75">Like Flutey said. When I got my first tablet 2 years ago, it seemed awful. I was expecting to create drop-dead gorgeous art in a minute, but it wasn't so, the tablet only really eliminates the scanning process. It took me forever to get used to my first because my hand would cramp from holding the thick pen, I would have to look up instead of down, and I just hated the whole process. I went about 6 months without touching my tablet, without doing art, then I picked it up again, and I'm glad I did. Hold a positive attitude for trying new things, it would have saved me a lot of time.</span>

    thanks for the help :P there was a tip on yahoo about drawing the pic on thin paper, then tracing it onto the tablet :)

My mom said it was the most expensive one... She also says it takes a lot of memory so she had to buy a new computer... :P I'm very grateful and thankful! Go MOMMY! :lol: </span></span>
