[where did you see that dragonflies live 24 hours on average? I really don't think it's true, unless, you take away the nymphal months. Some dragonflies take up to three or four years to mature!] DYKT: A nymph's (dragonfly) lower lip is very long and can be shot forward to catch prey like a frog sticks it's tongue out to catch prey. Dragonflies can eat their own weight of food in less the 30 minutes A dragonfly's wings can not be folded and remain outstretched forever, while a damselfly (easily mistaken for a dragon fly because of their similarities) can fold their wings together while resting Dragonfly's eyes contain 20,000 to 30,000 facets. [I read too much on dragonflies. That isn't 1/10 of the facts I have on them...] It is impossible for someone to lick their elbow [i dare you to try it]
