trainers boarding?

edited October 2005 in Game Suggestions
I think trainers should be able to board the dogs that they are training becuase:
- this could help raise adaptiblity
- this could raise courage
- this could enable the trainer to finish one dog then do the one boarded

please tell me what you think of this idea

  • Kinda defeats the purpose of boarding kennels, since I would assume most of the people who board are trainers and breeders, so that would cut their income in half. If you want to get behind something about boarding, I say get rid of the fee that makes us pay for the dogs being boarded every turn, it just doesn't make sense since they're technically in the care of another player.
  • yeah I hate how you get charged an extra $10 per turn on a dog that isnt there

  • *is confused*

Do you mean Trainers would be able to board dogs like, in there own kennels? If so I don't agree with that.

Or do you mean that trainers have the ability to send dogs to boarding kennels? Is so I completely agree with that. It is terribly annoying to only be able to accept a contract on one dog to train at a time. Like maybe sponser trainers and breeders would only have this feature? Or (my personaly favorite) it is an option when you create a lease? Just like "Make dog available for breeding" etc.

  • I mean that trainers have the ability to send dogs on a lease to boarding kennels

  • No way, then boaridng kennels would be totallu useless. Training kennels are already the most valuable kennel type on here, they really don't need any more.
  • What she is saying is when you accept a contract for a dog you are training that you could send that dog to one of the boarding kennels not that the trianing kennels get their own private boarding place XD

It's an okay idea I guess but I would not want to pay the 360 a day to board someone elses dog.

Vixen Kennels brands star with VX .
  • BUt wait then why would it:
this could help raise adaptiblity
- this could raise courage

That's whay boarding kennels do. If it was just matter of being able to tuck dogs in say an outdoor kennel while you train another dog I'd be all for that. Save you having to contract out your dogs to one of your novie kennels while you train. But I don't think it should raise stats likes a boarding kennel does.

Of course if we get kennel linking and can move doggies back and forth easily it should accomplish the same thing right? And then you could do that to clear out your breeding kennel also
  • I agree with Sable. It's a pain in the neck to only be able to accept one dog at a time. If there were kennel linking or outdoor kennels, at least people would know you were not ignoring there contract or something.

  • I think when you get your dog that your training on a contract that you get too send them to one of the boarding kennels i think that would be a great idea because then boarding kennels can get more money
