Books

edited December 2007 in General Discussion
I know, there's been a ton of these things. My family's killing me over a Christmas list and I've resorted to a list full of books.

Any good suggestions? I alrealy own all the Twilight books, Phantom Stallion books, and Heartland books.

Any good dog or horse books are greatly appreciated! I'm also a sucker for a good love story. Actually, just suggest any good book that you've read and liked. I'm pretty much desperate!

 • :) I've got Wild Magic! Very good book if I might add. I should put the other books and series on the list. Thanks!
 • Okay well I read a lot. How old are you?
(It would kind of help me to know, but if you dont feel like answering, just ignore that question)
I am currently reading a really good one called: The memory Keeper's Daughter
And if you have interest in wolves, and fiction "The sight" is a really good book. Lengthy too so it doesn't end right when you get into it.
And if you are into reality that is unseen I highly suggest the books "The kiterunner" and "a Thousand splendid suns"
And if you haven't read the Harry potter series. Start reading NOW I command you! lol

 • :P I'm 16, and I've never really gotten into Harry Potter... I just can't. I don't know why... Not even the movies, which is really weird.
 • Hmm maybe the classic White Fang by Jack London. It is about a wolf and its a pretty good sized book. I read it when I was 14 (now 15) so I think you would like it.

 • If you want any more suggestions.. My list is kind of unorganized, but.. XD

The Darkest Evening of the Year - Dean Koontz. Brand new, great book

Not dog/horse related, but you could try the Warriors series. I have two or three of the books (decent condition, they're bent a little), but if you want them (and if your parents are okay with it), I could send them to you. I wasn't really into them, I think I read half of one and never bothered with it again.

Silverwing, Sunwing, and Firewing - Kenneth Oppel - About bats, fantastic! There is another sequel to the series.. I can't remember what it is, all I know is that it's only available in hardback at the moment, and I'm dying to get it. XD

Elsewhere - Gabriele Zevin - I absolutely adored this book. It's amazing, I highly recommend it.

Biographies/things you'd probably read in school (still nice books)

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn - Mark Twain
The Life of Fredrick Douglas - Fredrick Douglas (auto biography)
The Giver - Lois Lowry
Romeo & Juliet - William Shakespeare
A Break with Charity - Ann Rinaldi
Fahrenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury
Petey - Ben Mickaelsen (made me cry, sad book)

"Kid" books. I hate to admit it, but I love kid books. XD

The Cat Ate My Gymsuit - Paula Danziger
Santa Paws series - Nicholas Edwards

I can't remember the others, but if I remember them, then I'll edit this post. ^^

They were written well, but it just didn't like.. Grasp my attention. I think I like books with either more adventure/fantasy or with emotions that I can relate to easily. I don't know how to explain it. XD

You're welcome Zagari. :3

 • The Clique Series. It's about a group of popular, rich, snobby girls.
They are my favorite books.
